White House Shooting: There was panic near America’s White House on Saturday evening when a gunman started firing near the western part of the presidential complex. US President Donald Trump was present inside the White House at the time of the incident. According to reports, the US Secret Service responded within seconds and killed the attacker before he could cross the security cordon.

During the firing, a passerby also got injured by the bullet. However, officials have not yet given any official information regarding the seriousness of his injuries.

According to the information, the gunman reached near the West Side Gate of the White House at around 6 pm. At approximately 6:10 p.m., the Secret Service spotted him walking suspiciously on 17th Street Northwest. After this he suddenly took out his weapon and started firing. According to reports, he had a handgun and fired several rounds near the White House.

As soon as the attacker started firing, the American Secret Service immediately retaliated. It is being told that the suspect was killed within a few seconds. During the firing, a passerby also got hit by the bullet.

Journalists were sent to a safe place

As soon as the sound of firing was heard, the Secret Service instructed the journalists present in the White House complex to immediately go towards the North Lawn and reach the press briefing room. An ABC News reporter told that she was recording social media video with her iPhone on the White House North Lawn when suddenly the sound of gunshots was heard. According to the report of NBC News, the sound of 20 to 30 rounds of firing was heard during the incident.

The attacker was taken to hospital

According to officials, the attacker was taken to George Washington Hospital after being shot. However, officials did not provide much information on his condition or how he was controlled. FBI Director Kash Patel also confirmed that agency officials are assisting the Secret Service in the investigation. According to Reuters report, the suspect was mentally disturbed and had previously been issued a “stay-away order”.

Nasire Best had earlier also threatened to assassinate President Trump in his TikTok video. He had posted this threat in his Tik Tok video on December 9, 2025. He had said that if he had been the attacker of the Butler murder case, Trump would have been dead.

The court had asked to stay away from the White House

Earlier, the court had issued an order against Best to stay away from the White House premises. However, according to reports, 21-year-old Best violated this order. On May 24 (Indian time), Secret Service officers saw Best acting strangely on 17th Street Northwest. He took out a gun and opened fire, causing serious injuries to a passerby.
