NEET UG 2026 Final Answer Key: Big news has come for lakhs of students who dream of studying medicine. National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key of NEET UG 2026 exam. NTA made its official announcement through a post on social media platform ‘X’.

The agency wrote in its post, the final answer key of NEET (UG) 2026 has been released. To see it, go to the official portal. At the same time, a direct link has also been shared for the convenience of the students, by clicking on which students can directly reach the answer key.

Why is the final answer special?

This question comes in the mind of many people that what is the difference between provisional and final answer key? Actually, when the NEET exam ends, a few days later, NTA first releases the provisional answer key. This is the initial list of correct answers according to NTA.

Many times it happens that NTA has given some other answer to a question, but students feel that the correct answer should be something else. In such a situation, students are given a chance to challenge that answer. All the challenges and objections of the students are examined very carefully by the subject experts of NTA. If the students are found to be correct then the answers are changed. After all these corrections the final answer key is released.

How can I check the final answer key?

NTA has kept the method of viewing the answer key very simple. If you have also given this exam then you can download the PDF by following some easy steps given below.

First of all, you have to open the internet in your mobile or computer and go to the official website of NTA NEET, exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.

On the homepage of the website, you will see a new link or notice written NEET (UG) 2026 Final Answer Key.

You just have to click on that link.

As soon as you click, the PDF file will open on your screen.

In this file, correct answers to all the questions asked in the examination will be given.

You can download it on your phone or computer and match the answers according to your paper code.

How to guess the numbers from the answer key?

There is a fixed way of giving marks in NEET exam. For every correct answer you get 4 marks, while for every wrong answer one mark is deducted. This is called negative marking. You get zero marks for the questions which you have not answered. Multiply your correct answers by 4 and subtract the incorrect ones from the total marks. With this you will immediately know how many marks you can get.

When will the result of NEET UG 2026 come?

The release of the final answer key directly means that now the final result of NEET UG 2026 can be released at any time. Usually the result is declared one or two days after the answer key is released. After the result is declared, students will know their scorecard and All India Rank.

Also read: Result may be released by July 20, you will be able to check your scorecard like this on neet.nta.nic.in website

Lakhs of candidates who appeared for NEET UG 2026 are waiting for the OMR sheet and final answer key. National Testing Agency (NTA) may soon release both the documents on the official website. Candidates will be able to view their OMR sheet by logging in, while the PDF of the final answer will be available to all. On the basis of this, the result of Re NEET 2026 will be released.

Re NEET 2026 OMR sheet will be released soon

NTA has not yet announced the official date of release of OMR sheet and final answer key. However, according to media reports, the OMR sheet may be released around July 5, 2026. By looking at their response sheet, candidates will be able to check which questions they had given in the examination and what answers they had given.

When will the final answer key come?

The provisional answer key of Re-NEET 2026 was released on June 25 and objections were sought from the candidates. Now after reviewing these objections, NTA will release the final answer key. There is a possibility that it may be released by the second week of July. The result will be prepared on the basis of this final answer key.

When can the result be released?

The result of Re NEET 2026 will be declared after the release of the final answer key. At present it is expected that the result can be released by 20th July 2026. However, the last date will be confirmed by NTA only.

Marking scheme of NEET 2026

Candidates can also calculate their probable score with the help of OMR sheet and answer key. 4 marks will be given for the correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer. No mark will be given or deducted for the question without answer.

Marking scheme of NEET 2026

If you want to know the probable score with the help of your OMR sheet and final answer key, then you need to understand the marking scheme of NEET. In the exam, 4 marks are given for every correct answer, while there is a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer. For those questions which are not answered, neither any marks are given nor any marks are deducted. Based on this rule, candidates can estimate their probable marks.

NEET UG 2026: If you have given NEET UG 2026 re-exam then today is a very important day for you. National Testing Agency (NTA) had given the facility to lodge objections on the provisional answer key, the last date of which is June 28. Candidates can register their objection till 11:50 pm tonight. No objection of any kind will be accepted after the stipulated time.

If you have any objection to any question or its answer, then visit the official website in time and register your objection. After this NTA will examine all the objections and then the final answer key will be released. The result will be declared on the basis of this final answer key. So let us know when the final answer key and result will be released.

File your objection like this

Candidates who appeared in the re-exam can visit the official NEET portal and submit their objections with the help of their application number and login details. For filing objection on each question, fixed non-refundable processing fee will have to be deposited. Besides, candidates will also have to provide relevant educational proof or references in support of their claim. NTA has made it clear that any objection sent without depositing fees or after the stipulated time limit will not be considered.

You will get an idea of your score from the provisional answer key.

After the release of the provisional answer key, candidates can estimate their probable marks. However, the final marks will be decided only on the basis of the final answer key. If any question or answer is changed during the scrutiny of objections, its effect will be equally applicable to all the candidates.

When will the final answer key be released?

After the closure of the objection window, all the objections received by NTA will be examined by a team of subject experts. If any candidate’s objection is found correct, the concerned answer will be amended. After this the final answer key will be released. NTA has made it clear that after the release of the final answer key, no new objection will be accepted on it.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam : Before the NEET-UG 2026 re-exam, a story came to light which inspired lakhs of students. This is the story of Kolkata student Srishti Dubey, who did not let her dream of becoming a doctor be shattered even after being injured in a serious road accident. In the accident, his nine ribs were broken, his lungs were seriously injured and he had to undergo major surgery. Even after this, she decided to give the NEET exam and finally appeared in the exam under special arrangements. Seeing Srishti’s dream of becoming a doctor and her passion to appear for the exam, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and NTA made special arrangements for her.

Srishti was seriously injured in a road accident

Srishti Dubey became the victim of a serious road accident on June 14. In this accident, nine of his ribs were broken and his lungs were also seriously injured. His condition was so serious that he had to undergo a major vascular operation. He was also kept on ventilation for some time during treatment. The treatment was going on under the supervision of doctors, but despite all these difficult circumstances, Srishti did not give up her dream of appearing in the NEET exam.

Father sought help from NTA and Education Minister

Seeing Srishti’s health condition, her father Shriram Shivji Dubey requested the National Examination Agency and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to make special arrangements. He told in his letter that his daughter wants to take the NEET exam under any circumstances. He demanded to provide special facilities at the examination center so that Srishti can appear in the examination safely. Srishti’s father is a teacher. He told the officials that the hospital administration is also ready to provide necessary medical assistance along with doctors and paramedical staff. After getting information about the matter, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan personally contacted Srishti’s family and directed to provide necessary assistance. He talked to the student’s parents and got information about their condition and decided that there should not be any problem in taking the exam.

NTA made special arrangements

The National Examination Agency made special arrangements at the examination center in view of Srishti’s health condition. A separate examination room was arranged for them. Medical team and doctors were deployed at the examination centre. An ambulance was also kept on standby to deal with any emergency. Apart from this, the student was given special facility to sit on the ground floor, so that she does not have to face any problem in commuting.

Srishti Dubey gave the NEET-UG 2026 re-exam at the Binodini Girls High School Examination Center in Dhakuria, Kolkata. In view of her serious health condition, all necessary medical facilities were made available at the examination centre. Under this special arrangement she could appear in the examination. After the commencement of the examination, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan called Srishti’s father and inquired about his daughter’s condition and examination. During this, Srishti’s father expressed his gratitude to the minister and said that it is because of his help that his daughter is able to take the exam.

Srishti’s mother also thanked the Education Minister. He told that after the accident he had no hope that his daughter would be able to take the examination. He said that the doctors had advised to apply for special permission, so that Srishti could attend the examination with hospital clothes and necessary medical equipment. Dharmendra Pradhan wished Srishti all the best for the exams and asked her to perform well. Also, make your parents proud by becoming a doctor. He also said that when he comes to Kolkata he will try to meet Srishti.

NEET Re-Exam 2026: The re-exam of the country’s biggest medical entrance examination NEET-UG 2026 is being conducted today on June 21, 2026, in which more than 22.79 lakh students are participating. After the paper leak controversy, it has become a big challenge for NTA to conduct the examination in a completely fair and safe manner. For this reason, before the examination, security arrangements were checked by conducting mock drills across the country. The teams of police, administration and NTA are busy ensuring that no incidents like cheating, fraud or paper leak take place during the examination.

A total of 1.29 lakh MBBS seats are available in medical colleges across the country, due to which the competition is very tough. According to statistics, on an average 18 students are vying for an MBBS seat, making the path to becoming a doctor more challenging than before. In such a situation, let us know how difficult it is to become a doctor.

Examination will be held in 565 cities, 22.79 lakh students will give the exam.

A total of more than 22.79 lakh students across the country have registered for NEET-UG 2026 re-exam. These include about 13.33 lakh girl students and 9.47 lakh boys. About 22.05 lakh candidates appeared in the first examination. This examination is being conducted in a total of 565 cities including 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. This examination, conducted on such a large scale, is considered one of the biggest medical admission examinations in the country.

Also read – NTA ready for NEET re-exam, deployed 6700 observers, 40 to 50 policemen at every center

How difficult is it to become a doctor?

According to career counseling experts, at present there are a total of 823 medical colleges in the country, where 1,29,603 MBBS seats are available. Of these, there are 63,160 seats in 450 government medical colleges, while 66,443 seats are available in 373 private and deemed medical colleges. However, most of the students try to get admission in government medical colleges due to low fees, due to which the competition is very high there. The competition for MBBS seats in NEET-UG 2026 is very tough.

If we look at the total of more than 22.79 lakh registered candidates and 1.29 lakh MBBS seats, on an average around 18 students are competing for one seat. At the same time, due to limited seats in government medical colleges and low fees, government colleges are the first choice of most of the students. This is the reason why competition for government MBBS seats becomes even more difficult, where on an average 36 candidates are vying for one seat.

The court has also commented that these allegations indicate that an ‘organized gang’ was involved in leaking confidential question papers of the examination and circulating them for financial gain.

Special judge for CBI cases Ajay Gupta accepted the federal agency’s plea seeking permission to interrogate Yash Yadav, Mangilal Khatik, Vikas Biwal, Dinesh Biwal and Shubham Madhukar Khairnar in seven days’ custody.

The court said in its order, ‘There is an aspect of a big conspiracy in this case and the investigation is still in the initial stage. Custody of the accused has been sought to expose the entire conspiracy as well as to arrest all the active members of this organized question paper leak gang and to recover material proving their involvement in the crime.
