Mirza Shehzad Akbar: Mirza Shehzad Akbar, a close aide of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and accountability advisor during his tenure, has been attacked in Britain. This attack took place near his home in Cambridge city of Britain, where masked attackers suddenly attacked him. In the attack, several punches were hit on Akbar’s face, due to which his nose was broken in two places and there was a hairline fracture in the jaw. Seriously injured Akbar has been admitted to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly condemned this attack and described it as completely planned. According to the party, the attacker was wearing a mask, gloves and overcoat, which clearly shows that the attack was planned in advance. PTI claims that this attack was carried out at the behest of Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, because Mirza Shehzad Akbar has been openly criticizing him for a long time.

Attack took place after viral speech

This attack has happened at a time when a recent speech of Akbar was becoming increasingly viral on social media. During a demonstration outside the Pakistan High Commission in London, Akbar had made a scathing attack on Army Chief Asim Munir. In his speech he had said that for the last three and a half years, Munir has been running Pakistan through fear and terror. Akbar had alleged that our houses were attacked, our family members and leaders were kidnapped and all kinds of atrocities were done to intimidate us.

He said that if these efforts to spread fear had been successful, people would not have been on the streets in large numbers today and Imran Khan’s sisters would not have been sitting on dharna outside Adiala jail. This means that those spreading fear have failed. Akbar had sarcastically said that the real fear now lies in the person who even today wears a bulletproof jacket under his military uniform. PTI says that this speech became the reason for this attack and it is being described as a part of the ongoing repression against critics. The party has demanded a fair and complete investigation from the British police.

Extradition attempts and past cases

Mirza Shehzad Akbar has been living in self-exile in Britain since the fall of Imran Khan’s government in 2022. The Pakistan government considers him an accused in many cases and recently efforts for his extradition have intensified. In December, Pakistan Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi had handed over extradition documents to British authorities. These include cases related to National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other investigating agencies. Pakistani court has also declared Akbar a fugitive.

This is the second time the attack has taken place

This is the second attack on Mirza Shahzad Akbar in Britain. Earlier in 2023, there was an acid attack on his house in Hertfordshire, due to which he suffered severe burn marks on his face, head and hands. Even at that time, Akbar had accused the Pakistani government, although later the British police closed the investigation into that case.

Human rights organizations expressed concern

Akbar’s supporters and PTI leaders have described the attack as an example of the Pakistani military leadership targeting critics living abroad. Human rights organizations have also expressed concern over this incident and said that incidents of cross-border repression to suppress political dissent are increasing.

The British police have started investigating the attack and CCTV footage of the area and other evidence have been secured. After the attack, Mirza Shahzad Akbar has said that he is definitely injured, but is not discouraged and will continue the fight for transparency and accountability.

Former Director General of Pakistan’s intelligence agency Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hami has been court martialed. Faiz Hami, a close aide of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for violating the Secrets Act. This is the first time that an officer who was the head of ISI has been court martialed. The current system of Asim Munir does not like any official close to Imran Khan.

The Pakistani Army issued a statement on Thursday (December 11, 2025) saying that former ISI Director General Faiz Hami has been accused of various charges including misuse of his position and authority, violation of the country’s secret documents. Apart from this, according to the documents published in the Pakistani Supreme Court in 2023, Faiz Hameed has also been accused of raiding the businesses of a private real estate developer, for which he has been sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment.

Faiz had served during the tenure of Imran Khan

ISPR, the Pakistan Army’s public relations department, said in a statement, “Faiz Hameed had served during the tenure of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently in jail, having been convicted for indulging in political activities and causing undue harm to people.”

“After a lengthy and arduous legal process, the accused has been found guilty of all charges and has been sentenced to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment as per the order announced on Thursday (December 11, 2025),” the statement said.

Faiz had taken retirement after the fall of Imran Khan from power.

Former ISI DG Faiz Hameed, considered a staunch supporter of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was once considered a contender for the post of Pakistani Army Chief, took pre-mature retirement just a few months after the fall of Imran Khan from power. After which Faiz was accused of violation of Pakistan Army Act in several cases and he was deprived of all his ranks.

Foreign Minister S. regarding India-Pakistan relations and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) in Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir. Jaishankar has given a big statement. Jaishankar said that just as there are good terrorists and bad terrorists, there are good military leaders and some not so good leaders.

S. Speaking to Hindustan Times on Saturday (December 6, 2025), Jaishankar said, ‘The reality of the Pakistani Army has always been clear to India and many of our problems also arise from there.’

Jaishankar spoke on the question of India’s diplomacy

On the question of India being diplomatically stuck, Jaishankar said, ‘Look at the condition of Pakistan, look at its differences, its capabilities and also its respect and reputation. We should not get too attached to it. Yes, there are some issues and we will deal with them accordingly.

We have to follow some rules and norms: Jaishankar

On the question of India using some different methods during Operation Sindoor, Jaishankar said, ‘The kind of country we are, we have to follow some rules and norms.’

He said, ‘I look at it two ways. As far as India is concerned, we do some things and some we don’t do. That’s why we are India. We have rules, we have some standards. If we take any step then in this country we are accountable to the public, to the media and to the civil society.

What did Jaishankar say on Putin’s visit to India?,

Foreign Minister S. on the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India. Jaishankar said, ‘It is very important for a country like India to have major relationships in good condition.’ He said, ‘For a country like ours, which is a big country, which is emerging and which is expected to play an increasingly important role, it is important that the special and important relations that we have should be strong. We should maintain good cooperation with as many countries as possible and we have the freedom to choose our options, so in short this is what is called foreign policy.

Pakistan has created a new post of Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) by making the 27th amendment in the Constitution, on which Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir is to be appointed. After appointment to this post, Asim Munir will probably become the most powerful army chief in the history of Pakistan, but the notification of Munir’s appointment as CDF has not been issued yet. A new controversy seems to be arising from this.

At one end of this dispute is Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir and at the other end is the country’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who is currently on a foreign trip. In such a situation, experts say that Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif is deliberately ignoring this matter and is traveling to other countries, so that he is not present at the time of issuing the notification for the appointment of CDF.

Sharif does not want to issue notification- Devasher

Author and National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) member Tilak Devasher told news agency ANI, “PM Shehbaz Sharif first left for Bahrain and from there he proceeded to London, which is leading to speculations that he is deliberately staying away to avoid issuing the notification of CDF appointment. This makes it clear that he wants Asim Munir as the Army Chief and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) for five years.” “Do not want to issue appointment notification.” “Sharif thinks he can escape the consequences by ignoring or not signing the CDF appointment notification, but that will not happen,” he said.

Pakistan currently does not have an army chief – Devasher

Devasher said, “Pakistan is in a very bad condition at this time because at present Pakistan does not have an Army Chief and even the Nuclear Command Authority is leaderless because Asim Munir’s three-year tenure as Army Chief has ended and notification has not yet been issued for his appointment to the post of CDF before November 29, 2025.”

Also read: PM Modi expressed concern over the ill health of former Bangladesh PM Khaleda Zia, said- we will provide all possible help…

There is intense political activity in Pakistan these days. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been in jail for a long time and has not been able to meet him these days. This is the reason why the rumor of Imran’s death also spread. Meanwhile, Pakistan has been severely reprimanded by the United Nations. The attitude of Pak Army Chief Asim Munir is becoming dictatorial. However, the important reason for UN’s reaction is Pakistan’s 27th constitutional amendment. Pakistan has also presented clarification on this.

In fact, through the 27th Constitutional Amendment, the Parliament of Pakistan has given Asim Munir such legal power that no court can question him. Because of this decision there is a rebellion like situation in Pakistan. Along with this, the United Nations has also expressed objection. UN human rights chief Volker Turk has warned that this could put the justice system under executive control. The UN called it a weakening of democracy.

What did Pakistan say in clarification?

According to the report of ‘The Hindu’, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has become nervous after Turk’s statement. However, he has also offered clarification. The Foreign Ministry said, “This is an unnecessary concern.” This matter is completely within the jurisdiction of the Parliament of Pakistan. Like democracy, changing the law and constitution is the right of the elected representatives.

Why is there controversy regarding the 27th amendment?

Through this amendment, Pakistan has formed a new Federal Constitution Court, which will give the final decision on matters related to the Constitution. The important thing is that The Supreme Court has now been limited to only civil and crime related cases. Along with this, the biggest controversy is regarding the new post of Chief of Defense Forces. Munir has got its first charge.

In Pakistan, supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan are protesting strongly against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir. Amidst the political turmoil in Pakistan, National President of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has opened a front against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief and former PM Imran Khan. Nawaz Sharif said that Imran Khan was not the only criminal, there were bigger criminals than him who brought him here.

What did Nawaz Sharif say against Imran Khan?,

Actually, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif gave this statement on Wednesday (November 26, 2025). Nawaz Sharif was addressing the media among his supporters along with the Chief Minister of Punjab province and his daughter Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday. During this, Nawaz Sharif fiercely targeted the country’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) chief Nawaz Sharif said, ‘I understand that Imran Khan was not the only culprit. Those who brought him here were bigger criminals than him and they should also be held fully accountable for this. He said, ‘All his statements are coming in front of the people. He used to call everyone thieves and dacoits, used to create fights and riots, and used to catch people’s secrets. They used to say burn, kill, catch but now the whole truth has come in front of the community.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Punjab province Maryam Nawaz also targeted PTI and the rule of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that the four-year rule of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will be remembered as the worst rule in the country. He said, ‘He used to say that now there is no politics of performance in the country, there is only politics of rhetoric. So the politics of rhetoric has been defeated this time and the way politics was tainted in those four years, the way politics was made into a personal enmity, it had deep impacts on our politics, on our society and it will take a lot of time for our society to come out of this. Maryam Nawaz said, ‘If today they complain about what they themselves have done during their four years in power, then it has no importance and neither is anyone going to listen to them.’

On the one hand, the third round of talks is being held in Istanbul to end the border tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Meanwhile, terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has openly threatened the Pakistani government and its army.

News agency IANS has received a video in which TTP members announced plans to march from Pakistan’s Punjab province to Islamabad. The organization claims to have a strong presence in the Punjab region and has vowed to establish Islamic system in the entire country.

In the video, a TTP member has described the Pakistani army and government as cruel and claimed that they do not have the capacity to wage war against the Mujahideen. The TTP member has also predicted the imminent fall of the Pakistani army and government.

Pakistan claims – is on Afghan soil ttp members of

At the same time, Pakistan has been continuously claiming that TTP is operating from the soil of Afghanistan. However, TTP members have claimed that they are present in Punjab, Pakistan. This statement of TTP seems to be directly challenging Pakistani intelligence agencies. From the kind of situation unfolding in Pakistan, it seems that Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir’s grip on the ground is now getting loose. A recent example of this was seen a few days ago, when TTP claimed that it had captured the Pakistani Army post.

Serious allegations against Asim Munir

Some critics say that Army Chief General Asim Munir is using the name of TTP to justify the oppression of Pashtuns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His action is spoiling the relations between Pakistani and Afghan population and this step is allegedly directed by America.

In view of the situation, serious concerns have arisen regarding internal security in Pakistan. The TTP which Pakistan had played an important role in bringing into existence, today the same TTP has become a thorn in the neck of Pakistan.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday (October 12, 2025) has condemned the recent provocative action taken by Afghanistan in the Pakistan border area. While praising the Pakistani Armed Forces for taking strong and effective retaliatory action, PM Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Army in protecting the country’s borders.

He said, ‘We are very proud of the professionalism of our armed forces. Under the courageous leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Pakistani Army not only gave a befitting reply to Afghanistan’s aggression but also destroyed many of their posts, due to which they had to retreat.

Pakistan’s security is in strong hands – Shahbaz

Pakistani PM said, ‘There will be no compromise on the defense of Pakistan. Every aggression will be responded to strongly and effectively. Emphasizing this, he said, ‘Pakistan’s security is in strong and capable hands and the country knows how to protect every inch of its soil.’

He said, ‘Pakistan’s armed forces have always given a decisive and befitting reply to any external aggression and the entire country stands united with its security forces.’

Shahbaz Sharif spoke on cross-border terrorism

Highlighting the issue of cross-border terrorism, PM Shehbaz Sharif said, ‘Pakistan has many times informed Afghanistan about the presence of terrorist organizations like Fitna-tul-Khawarij and Fitna-tul-Hindustan, which are using Afghan soil to carry out terrorist actions against Pakistan.’

He said, ‘These terrorist organizations have the support of some elements present within Afghanistan. But Pakistan hopes that the interim Afghan government will ensure that its soil will not be used by any terrorist organization for attacks against Pakistan.

conflict between pakistan and afghanistan

Afghan government chief spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said on Sunday (October 12, 2025) that Afghanistan has killed 58 soldiers of Pakistan. This action has been taken in response to repeated violations of the security of its sovereign territory and airspace. Afghan army has captured 25 Pakistani posts, 58 soldiers have been killed and more than 30 are injured.
