Congress candidate from Jorhat assembly constituency and state Congress president Gaurav Gogoi filed his nomination papers. Tiok candidate Pallabi Gogoi thanked the public after the nomination and expressed confidence about her victory. He said, ‘By the grace of God, I have filed my nomination today. I am getting full support from the people of Teok. I have also prayed for the victory of dynamic leader Gaurav Gogoi.

Pran Kurmi also filled the form

Whereas Congress candidate from Titabar seat Pran Kurmi also formally filed his nomination and presented his claim in the election field. This has further strengthened the strategy of Congress in this area.

This alliance formula of NDA covers a total of 126 seats in the 126-member Assam Assembly. Sources said that the final decision can be formally announced in a few days.
