The bench of Justices BV Nagarathna and Ujjal Bhuiyan said during the hearing that Vishal Aggarwal has been in custody for the last 22 months. The court decided to grant bail to Aggarwal on the conditions set by the trial court.

The Supreme Court said during the hearing that in similar cases earlier too the court had given relief to other accused. Senior lawyers Mukul Rohatgi and Siddharth Dave, appearing for Vishal Aggarwal, told the court that other accused in this case have already got bail. In such a situation, it is not justice to punish a person before he is proven guilty.

In the case, the court decided to grant bail to Aggarwal on the conditions set by the trial court. The court made it clear that the accused will not try to contact any witness in any way and will cooperate fully in the proceedings of the case. The court also ordered the trial to be completed as soon as possible and said that if the bail conditions are violated, the Maharashtra government can apply for cancellation of the bail.

139 bus services of transport department canceled

Due to the situation created after the tanker accident, a total of 139 bus services of Maharashtra State Transport Department have been cancelled.
