Russian President Vladimir Putin has given a big statement regarding Ukraine. He said that Russia has no objection to Ukraine joining the European Union (EU). However, he made it clear that Ukraine’s joining NATO would not be acceptable to Russia. Putin said that Russia is ready for talks to end the war. He also indicated that he would have no objection to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visiting Moscow if peace talks move forward.

Putin made it clear that the Donbass region, which came under Russian control during the war, will not be handed back to Ukraine. He says that Russia is not going to change its position on this issue. Russia has long been opposed to Ukraine joining NATO. Moscow believes that NATO expansion is a threat to its security. Ukraine and Western countries have been calling NATO membership essential for Ukraine’s security.

Volodymyr Zelensky wrote a letter

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has written a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin proposing direct talks to end the war. Zelensky said that a face-to-face meeting of the two leaders is necessary to end the long-running war. Zelensky suggested that this meeting could be held in a neutral country. He has proposed Switzerland, Turkey or an Arab country as possible locations. He says that if peace talks start, Ukraine is ready for a complete ceasefire during the time of talks.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the Russia-Ukraine war is now nearing its end. He indicated that if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wanted to hold personal talks, he could come to Moscow. Russian President’s accusation

The Russian President alleged that Kiev had said before Victory Day that it was not ready for the exchange of prisoners. He said that Russia does not want to spoil relations with any country, but Moscow’s reaction to the alleged provocative incidents from Ukraine during the Victory Day could have worsened the situation. Putin also claimed that in the year 2022, on the request of French President Emmanuel Macron, Russia had withdrawn its forces from around Kiev.

Why did the war with Ukraine start?

Regarding the beginning of the war with Ukraine, Putin said that this situation started with Ukraine’s efforts to join the European Union. According to him, after this there was a coup in Ukraine, then the incidents in Crimea happened and finally Russia started its special military operation. It has been more than three years since the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. During this period thousands of people have died and lakhs of people have been affected. Many big powers of the world are trying to end this conflict.

Putin clarified that Russia has always been maintained on the principle that no country can ensure its security at the cost of another country. According to him, the strategy of Western countries goes against this principle and this is the cause of conflict.

Ukraine rejected Putin’s argument

In his speech given at the SCO Summit, Putin said that Russia follows the principle that no country can ensure its security at the cost of another country.

At the same time, the Ukraine government rejected Putin’s claim outright. Ukraine says that the attack by Russia in 2022 was a well-planned regional occupation attempt, which had nothing to do with NATO. Kiev insisted that Russia was already making a strategy to weaken Ukraine’s sovereignty and regional integrity.
