Track-2 diplomacy of India-Pakistan has been discussed a lot in recent times. Many media reports claimed that military officers of India and Pakistan have met in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Indian government sources have refuted these reports and said that there is no truth in it. Pakistan’s political analyst Qamar Cheema has also said that the Narendra Modi government will hardly choose the path of talks.

Qamar Cheema said that after the news related to diplomacy between India and Pakistan, the question is being asked whether things are going to be fine between the two countries. The reason for this is that in recent times RSS has been advocating talks with Pakistan. Some Indian military officers have also stressed on improving relations.

Qamar Cheema said that at present India will not talk to Pakistan. The reason for this seems to me to be the policy of Narendra Modi government. The Narendra Modi government has consistently shown a tough stance against Pakistan and has termed Pakistan a terrorist state. In such a situation, coming to the negotiating table with Pakistan could be a cause of political loss for them.

Pakistan ready for talks – Cheema
He said that Pakistan’s stand is clear that it is ready for talks. At present the Pakistani Army and the government there seem to be completely on the same page. Qamar Cheema also said that Pakistan and India should not completely stay away from talks. Iran and America are in talks, which have not had diplomatic relations for 50 years, then Pakistan and India have had mutual understanding in some way or the other even during wars. In such a situation, why should India and Pakistan face any problem in talks?

‘No relaxation in Indus Water Treaty’
According to sources, the Modi government at the Center has neither approved nor supported any official Track-2 talks with Pakistan. He has also completely rejected the possibility of any relaxation or concession under the Indus Water Treaty. He says that despite issues related to airspace or other bilateral tensions, India’s stance remains the same as before.

He said that this talk was one of the most serious efforts at diplomacy between America and Iran in the last decade.

He further said that a last proposal has been given to Iran and now the Iranian delegation will have to take opinion from its top leadership on this proposal, which includes many new aspects, because many prominent leaders of Tehran have been killed in US and Israeli attacks.

Pakistan played its role in this talks: Cheema

According to Al Jazeera’s report, foreign policy expert Qamar Cheema said that Pakistan has played its role well in this important dialogue. Pakistan’s job was to bring both the sides to the negotiating table, Pakistan’s job was to reduce the distance between the two and restore trust and Pakistan has done this.

He said, ‘Pakistan is getting recognition for this at the global level. Both sides are praising Pakistan. We achieved a ceasefire, that was the most important thing and we are confident that in the coming days they (America and Iran) will come back again and give their respective responses to the proposal that has been made to them. This is an ongoing process and we are looking forward to it.

Cheema described Taliban as a big challenge for Pakistan and talked about strict action against them. Claimed that after Taliban rule, attacks on Pakistan by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have increased rapidly. Pakistan air strike on Afghanistan

According to Afghan news channel Tolo News, Pakistan had carried out an air attack on Afghanistan on 22 February. Pakistani fighter jets targeted several targets in Khogyani and Ghani Khel districts of Nangarhar province and Bermal and Argun districts of Patika province. In which the death of 16 citizens of the same family was claimed.
