CBSE Re-evaluation 2026: After the declaration of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2026 results, lakhs of students are worried about their marks. Many students believe that they have not got the marks as per their expectation, hence they want to get their answer sheet checked. For this reason, a large number of students have applied to see the scanned copy of their copies and verification of marks.

The board had announced to start the re-evaluation and verification process from June 1, but the CBSE portal remained visible in maintenance mode throughout the day. This increased the concern of students and parents. Meanwhile, CBSE has made it clear that the portal will be launched soon and students should not pay attention to any kind of rumour.

What did CBSE say?

In a statement issued by CBSE on social media platform X, it has been said that the verification and re-evaluation portal will be made live soon. The board has said that the official announcement will also be released soon. According to the board, at present some technical work and final preparations related to the payment system are being done on the portal. As soon as these processes are completed, the application window will be opened for the students.

Why is there a delay?

According to the information, CBSE wants to avoid any technical problem this time. In the last few days, answer sheet related services have been used by lakhs of students, due to which there is a lot of pressure on the portal. The board says that before starting the application process, it wants to ensure that the website works smoothly and students do not face any problem in payment or application. For this reason, final technical tests are being conducted.

Also read – CBSE accepted the cyber attack on OnMark portal, gave this update

Who can apply for re-valuation?

Students who are not happy with their marks can first download their scanned answer sheet. After this they can check whether all the answers have been checked or not and whether the marks have been added correctly or not. If any answer has not been checked or any mistake is seen in awarding marks, then students can apply for verification and re-valuation. However, CBSE has made it clear that after re-valuation, the marks may increase, decrease or may remain the same. The marks released after re-valuation will be considered final.

How to apply for re-valuation

1. CBSE official website cbse.gov.in Go to and open the revaluation link.

2. Enter roll number, school number, admit card ID and other important information. Also select the subject for which you want to see the answer sheet.

3. Now deposit the prescribed fees through online mode.

4. After this, download the scanned copy and check it carefully.

5. If any mistake is noticed then submit the application within the stipulated time limit.

CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation: After the declaration of CBSE 12th results, this time the biggest discussion is about re-evaluation and On Screen Marking (OSM) system. Many students claimed on social media that they had got lower marks than expected. Meanwhile, the Board held a press conference amid the ongoing controversies regarding on-screen marking of CBSE 12th Board Exam.

To provide relief to the students, the re-evaluation fee has been reduced by the CBSE Board. Students can now check their answer sheet for just Rs 100. Earlier this fee was Rs 700. And for re-evaluation they will have to pay Rs 25 per question. Meanwhile, the question in the minds of students is that if their marks increase after re-evaluation, will their fees be refunded or not? Let us know the answer…

Full fees will be refunded

The board has made it clear that if a student gets re-evaluation done and his marks increase, then the entire fee will be refunded to the student. This announcement of CBSE is being seen as a big relief for the students. Let us tell you, this time there has been a decline in the results. Compared to last year, this time the pass percentage has declined by 3 percent, which has come down from 88 percent to 85 percent. Some students also feel that they should have got more marks than they actually got. CBSE says that these changes have been made to provide relief to the students and to make the process easier. Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that the board does not want any student to feel that his hard work has not been properly respected.

Also read: JEE Advanced 2026: JEE Advanced 2026: How to get scholarship in IIT Kharagpur? Know the terms and marks information

Why was there controversy regarding OSM system?

Actually, this year CBSE has used OSM i.e. On Screen Marking system for checking the copies of class 12th. In this, the answer sheets of the students have been scanned and checked digitally. After the results came, many students said that they had got less marks than expected, especially in subjects like Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Some students even said that despite getting good marks in JEE Main, they got less marks in the board exam. After these complaints, CBSE clarified in a press conference that OSM is not a new system and it has been used earlier also. The board said that this time around 98 lakh answer sheets were scanned and the copies which had scanning problems were checked manually.

How can students apply for re-checking?

If any student feels that his marks are less than expected, then he can apply for re-checking by visiting the official website of CBSE. For this, first of all the student will have to apply for number verification. After this he can see his scanned answer sheet. If still a mistake is found in any question, then an application can be made for re-evaluation of that question. In this, the entire process is online and fees also have to be deposited online. CBSE releases the dates of each step separately, hence students have been advised to keep a constant eye on the board’s website so that they do not miss any important date.

UP Board 10th 12th Result 2026: The wait of lakhs of students of 10th and 12th class of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) is over. According to the results released by UP Board, this time 90.42% students have passed in class 10th, while the pass percentage of class 12th was 80.83%. However, there are many students whose results have not been as per expectations.

There is no need to panic in such a situation. The board and the education system have given many options for such students, with the help of which students can continue their studies and move ahead. So today let us tell you what are your options if you have failed in UP Board 10th-12th or got less marks.

What is the passing mark in UP board exam?

According to the rules of UP Board, to pass the examination, it is necessary for any student to get at least 33 percent marks in every subject. If a student scores slightly less marks, he may be given grace marks in some cases by the board.

UP Board Intermediate Result 2026 Live

UP Board High School Result 2026 Live

What are your options if you fail or get less marks?

1. Rechecking option – If you feel that your marks are less than expected or there is a mistake in copy checking, then you can apply for rechecking or re-evaluation. In this process your answer sheet is re-checked. Application starts a few days after the results are declared. Separate fees have to be paid for each subject. The result may change, increase or remain the same. This option is good for those students who are not confident in their marks.

2. Opportunity for compartment exam – If a student fails in one or two subjects, there is no need to waste the entire year. The board conducts compartment examination for such students. In this you give the exam only for the failed subjects. The exam is usually held in July and if you pass, your year is saved. This is considered the easiest option.

3. Option for failure in 3 or more subjects – If a student fails in three or more subjects, he cannot appear for the compartment exam. In such a situation, you will have to give the entire examination again next year or you can prepare again as a private student.

4. Opportunity to improve marks through improvement exam – In some cases, students also get an opportunity to improve their marks. You can improve your marks in any one subject. This facility is especially useful for 12th class students. This can improve your percentage.

Also read – UP Board Result 2026: UP Board 10th and 12th results today, see step by step result like this

5. Open Schooling (NIOS) is a good option- If you do not want to go to regular school again, then open schooling is a great option. In this you can study from home. Also, there is no strict time restriction and you can prepare for the exam at your own pace.

6. Skill based course and diploma option – If a student wants to get a job quickly along with further studies, then he can do a skill course. Some famous options like ITI course, Polytechnic Diploma, Digital Marketing, Graphic Designing, Tally and Accounting, these courses increase the chances of getting a job quickly.

7. Job option – Some students can also start work along with studies. Like part time job (BPO, retail, data entry), freelancing (writing, designing, social media) or work on online platforms, this gives experience and also starts earning.
