In the NEET re-exam fraud case, the SIT of the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) on Thursday (July 09, 2026) took 72 hours remand of 30 accused lodged in Lakhisarai Mandal Jail. After getting remand permission from the court in all the three cases registered in Kiul and Kavaiya police stations of the city, the investigating agency has now started preparations for interrogation.

The inquiry may reveal many important links of the entire network of fraud. Last Wednesday (July 08, 2026), the Chief Judicial Magistrate had given permission for remand in two cases registered in Kiul and Kavaiya police stations. Earlier, EOU had got approval for remand in another case registered at Kavaiya police station. On Thursday (July 09, 2026), the SIT took all the 30 accused together to Patna.

The accused will first be interrogated separately in Patna. After this everyone’s statements will be combined. If necessary, interrogation will also be done by sitting face to face. According to sources, senior officers of EOU and research officers of all three cases will be present during this period.

Many revelations can be made during interrogation

It is believed that the team may get a lot of important information during the interrogation. The entire network of fraud, financial transactions, contacts with other states or districts can be revealed. Important information can also be found about the mastermind of this racket.

Nine fake candidates were caught

Let us tell you that after the paper leak incident, a major fraud was revealed in Lakhisarai during the NEET UG examination held on June 21. Nine fake candidates were arrested while appearing for the exam in place of other candidates. Taking action, the police arrested 30 accused. These included nine fake candidates, one original candidate, two associates and 18 biometric personnel. EOU took over the investigation. A 12-member SIT is investigating under the leadership of DIG.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust accepted the resignation of Champat Rai on Monday (06 July). Now the first reaction of Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has come to light. He has termed Champat Rai’s resignation as inadequate and has demanded the harshest punishment.

Former Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal wrote on social media platform X, “Hindu Sanatani do not want resignation but strict punishment.” Don’t try to save him by resigning.

Hindu Sanatani does not want resignation but strict punishment.

Don’t try to save them by resigning

Sanjay Singh cornered the government by mentioning Champat Rai

Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also made a scathing attack on the acceptance of Champat Rai’s resignation. He said in a video on Used to commit robbery. Used to beat. They even used to kill people. Police action was taken against those dacoits, encounter action was taken, they were put in jail, they were sentenced to life imprisonment. Some were sentenced to death.”

Then any corrupt person will resign from his post – Sanjay Singh

Sanjay Singh said, “Now under the rule of Chanda Chor Party, such a law has been made that no action will be taken against the dacoits. No action will be taken against those who have looted the temple of Lord Shri Ram, the symbol of faith of crores of people. Resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra were accepted. There was celebration that the resignation was accepted. Then any corrupt person will resign from his post. Some officer will loot thousands and crores of rupees and say that we have resigned, the work is over. Was he punished for his corruption? Why is no action being taken against Champat Rai and Anil Mishra?

Earlier, dacoits used to loot villages by raising slogans of Jai Bhavani. Now the robbers are looting the temple of Lord Shri Ram by raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram!

Earlier the dacoits used to go to jail, got life imprisonment and death sentence, now the dacoits are getting leave by resigning.

Why didn’t Champat Rai and Anil Mishra go to jail – Sanjay Singh

He alleged, “How they have looted the temple. There was talk of giving 40 percent commission in construction works. There was talk of wasting crores of rupees like water in the purchase of land. Corruption worth crores was done in the name of land purchase. Theft of hundreds of crores of rupees in offerings and theft of jewelery is coming to light. Everyone is making allegations. They are shouting and saying that all the land documents are being issued and they are shouting that a scam worth hundreds of crores of rupees has taken place, yet why did Champat Rai and Anil Mishra not go to jail?

Sanjay Singh further said, “I want to ask PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath. You were saying that milk will turn into milk and water into water. Is this the action? You are not able to take action against those who eat offerings in God’s temple. Crores of Hindus of the country are asking you when action will be taken against them.

Recently, people across the country are keeping an eye on the case of alleged irregularities in the donations of devotees in the Ayodhya Ram temple of UP. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to get to the bottom of this matter. This team has also submitted its initial investigation report to the Uttar Pradesh government. This three-member SIT was constituted by the state government on June 13. In such a situation, many people have a question as to how officers are selected in the SIT investigating a high-profile case.

Actually, SIT is not a permanent investigation agency. It is made on the orders of the State Government, Central Government or the Supreme Court and High Court for impartial and thorough investigation of a particular case. After the completion of the investigation, the work of this team also ends automatically.

How are officers selected?

Let us tell you that officers are not selected in SIT through any new recruitment. In this, experienced police and administrative officers already working in government service are included. Officers who have good service record, experience in investigating serious cases and whose impartiality is trusted are given preference. The command of the SIT formed in the Ram Temple donation case was handed over to Lucknow Division Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant. This team includes three senior officers.

Also read – UP students will be in trouble! From scholarship to free tablet, know 8 big schemes

Who decides?

If the SIT is constituted by the state government, then the Home Department and the Police Headquarters decide the names of senior officers. At the same time, if the Supreme Court or the High Court orders to form a SIT in a case, then the court can also decide which officers will be in the team or which agency’s officers will be included.

What is responsibility?

SIT can be given more powers than a normal investigation team. The team examines the documents, interrogates the people concerned, collects CCTV footage, bank records and other evidence. If needed, help of forensic and technical experts is also taken. In the Ram temple donation case also, SIT interrogated the trust officials and many suspicious people. The preliminary investigation report has been submitted to the government, but the investigation is still going on and the final report will be given later.

Politics is not showing any signs of stopping regarding the theft of offerings in Ayodhya Ram temple. Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has written a letter to the chairman of the Special Investigation Team probing this case. The AAP MP has demanded an investigation alleging theft of offerings and scam in the purchase of land by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh has requested for investigation into several land transactions around Ram temple in Ayodhya. He claimed that some properties were bought by the trust at very high prices after acquisition. He has also sent some documents attached to the SIT team and after examining them, he has demanded strict action against the guilty people.

AAP MP wrote a letter to SIT

Sanjay Singh, in a letter written to the SIT, said that due to the scam done by the Trust in the Ram temple of Ayodhya, the faith of crores of Hindus of the country has been hurt. Recently, in this theft, the names of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, Anil Mishra, Gopal Rao and Tinnu Yadav have come into discussion due to the theft of offering.

The AAP MP claimed that this is not an ordinary theft. Even before this, a scam worth crores of rupees has been done in the land purchased in the name of Lord Shri Ram. He had presented all the evidence related to this in front of the government, administration and media, on which no action was taken by the government.

Saints of Ayodhya do not trust the SIT investigation of Ram temple offering theft, raised serious questions on these officials

Allegation of scam in purchase and sale of land

Sanjay Singh wrote – In the year 2021, Trust General Secretary Champat Rai bought land worth Rs 2 crore from Sultan Ansari and Ravi Mohan Tiwari for Rs 18.5 crore. I had complained about this to the police station in Ayodhya, on which no action has been taken till date. Similarly, land worth about 3 crores was purchased from Mahant Murli Das for about 24 crores, land worth 9 crores was purchased from Alok Bansal for about 55.5 crores. Apart from this, I have many such land documents in which there is evidence of the trust being corrupt.

He has also attached many documents of the land scam with the letter to the SIT team. Sanjay Singh also mentioned this in the letter and wrote – Documents of about 11 land scams by the Trust are attached to the letter. Please take cognizance of these and investigate the matter thoroughly and take strict action against the culprits.

The SIT has submitted the preliminary report to the Principal Secretary Home in the alleged Ram Temple scam case in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, but the residents of Ayodhya along with the saints are expressing doubts about the SIT investigation. Karpatri Maharaj has demanded to register a case in this matter first and get the matter investigated by CBI.

While the SIT was present in the premises, Santosh Dubey, head of the Hindu Dharma Sena and former kar sevak, associated with the Ram Mandir movement, filed a complaint to register an FIR at the Ram Janmabhoomi police station. In this complaint, he had filed a complaint against Ram Janmabhoomi Trust General Secretary Champat Rai Bansal, Anil Mishra, Gopal Rao and Champat Rai’s driver Ram Shankar Yadav alias Tinnu and demanded strict action, but still neither FIR has been registered nor any action has been taken, after which now they are also alleging that why is there no FIR till now?

Harishankar Safri made serious allegations

Harishankar Safri, a resident of Ayodhya, also made serious allegations against Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust and said that Champat Rai had taken over his Panchayati temple. They alleged that the idols and ornaments present in the temple were missing and the FIR was not registered due to their pressure. He tried to meet the SIT but did not meet the team members, hence he is disappointed.

Also read: Sonbhadra News: Two teenagers drowned when they went to take bath in Son river, another youth missing in the chaos.

According to the information, Harishankar Panch Pramukh alleged that earlier Sant Ram Gopal Das was the owner of Ram Niwas Temple. Later five people including Harihar Das, Harishankar Singh Safriwala, Rajkumar Pandey and Dudhnath Singh became its members. New members were formed after the death of four people, in which Dev Narayan Tiwari, Shikha Pandey, Ruby Safriwala, Chandrashekhar and Harishankar Safriwala became new members in 2019. The one whom the priest made a Mahant, captured the villa in earnest by attaching documents of possession of it. The idols, ornaments were missing and the office was captured.

Champat Rai captured without notice

After the transaction of Rs. 22 on 22 December 2022, Champat Rai took possession without informing the Panch Committee. In protest against this, the aggrieved party tried to register an FIR and also stood up to meet the SIT, but all efforts failed and now they are disappointed and demanding action. On the other hand, Kamal Nayan Das, disciple of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, also did not express confidence in the investigation and raised objection on the rate of the lands.

There is talk of not receiving the receipt for the offerings in Ayodhya’s Ram temple and Champat Rai attending the program during the investigation. It remains to be seen what form the next picture will take so that the public can be satisfied.

An important update has come to light in the suspicious death case of Rajasthan’s storyteller Sadhvi Prem Baisa. 16 days after Sadhvi’s death, the FSL (Forensic Science Lab) report has been sent to the Medical Board. The report clearly states that no poison has been found in Bisra.

Poison and injury, both not confirmed

According to the FSL report, no traces of poison were found in the body. The same thing had come to light in the earlier post mortem report that there was no poison in Sadhvi’s body.

Not only this, no marks of external injury were found on the body. However, death due to unnatural causes has not been confirmed in the report. That means it still cannot be said clearly how the death occurred.

Minister of State for Home gave information

Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedam told the media that the medical board that conducted the post-mortem has received the FSL report. Now the medical board is preparing its final opinion on the basis of this report. Soon this opinion will be handed over to the police.

SIT is investigating from every angle

The SIT of Rajasthan Police is investigating this matter. According to the minister, the SIT will take further action based on the FSL report and the opinion of the medical board. The investigation team is investigating the case keeping every aspect in mind, so that the truth can be brought out.

Suspense still persists

Although the FSL and post-mortem reports did not reveal any signs of poison or injury, the real cause of Sadhvi’s death is still not clear. In such a situation, this matter still remains a mystery. All eyes are now on the final report of the Medical Board and further investigation by the SIT.

The case of suspicious death of Jodhpur’s famous storyteller Sadhvi Prem Baisa has created a sensation in the entire area. Considering the seriousness of this matter, Jodhpur Police Commissioner has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for investigation. This SIT will be of three members, which is headed by ACP Chhavi Sharma.

Bornada police station incharge Shakeel Ahmed has been included in the team along with ACP Chhavi Sharma. Apart from this, to strengthen the investigation on scientific and technical basis, a forensic expert has also been made a part of the SIT. Now this SIT will investigate every aspect related to the death of Sadhvi Prem Baisa. Police say that the matter will be investigated impartially and deeply and whatever facts will come to light. Further action will be taken on their basis.

Adopted spirituality at the age of just 12

Rajasthan’s famous storyteller Sadhvi Prem Baisa was cremated with full rituals yesterday (30 January 2026) in her native village Pareu (District Balotra). There is an atmosphere of mourning and reverence in the village due to the demise of Sadhvi. She was following the path of religion and spirituality since the age of just 12, but she died untimely at the age of 25. A large number of devotees, saints and villagers from far and wide came to have their last darshan.

Former Chief Minister of Telangana and BRS President K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) has once again been issued a notice by the investigating agency (SIT). The authorities have directed under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) that he should be present at his Nandinagar residence in Hyderabad on February 1, 2026 at 3 pm.

The investigating agency has rejected KCR’s demand for interrogation in Yarravelly and has made it clear that this interrogation will take place only at the address recorded in his official records. In this official letter issued on January 30, SIT officials have said that they are being included as evidence in connection with case number 243/2024. The notice clearly states that the electronic and physical records related to the case are extremely sensitive and it is not possible to move them from here due to security reasons.

what the officials said
Officials said that although KCR’s age and health have been kept in mind, considering the nature of the records he will have to come to his Hyderabad residence. It was also said that the previous obligation to appear near the police station has been relaxed to conduct the investigation at his residence, but the venue will not be changed.

What did KCR say by writing a letter to the investigating officers?
Earlier, on behalf of KCR, his representatives had written a letter to the investigating officers on January 29 demanding an investigation in Yarravelly (V) Markook (M). However, the investigating agency, while giving clarification on two points, said that in the official documents, the place of investigation is registered as Hyderabad only and it would not be appropriate to change it as per the legal process. The notice is signed by the ACP of Jubilee Hills Division and the investigating officer.

Now all eyes are on this action to be held on 1st February. This notice has come at a time when political turmoil is at its peak in the state. This step of the investigating agency shows that while understanding the seriousness of the case, they are in a mood to ignore any kind of political pressure or convenience. Now it remains to be seen what stand KCR takes after this notice and whether he remains firm on his demand for inquiry in Yarravelly or follows the instructions of the agency.
