OECD Internship 2026: A great opportunity has come for Indian students who dream of doing internship abroad. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, based in Paris, the capital of France, has started an internship program for students from different fields. What will be the work of the intern?

Selected candidates will be given 1000 Euros every month for accommodation and food expenses, which is equivalent to approximately Rs 1.10 lakh in Indian currency. Apart from this, students doing internship for more than two months will also get 2.5 days leave per month. According to the OECD strategy, if needed, the facility to do some work outside the office can also be provided.

Who can apply for internship?

Students studying Bachelors, Masters and PhD can apply for this program. Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time degree program and their field of study must be related to the OECD’s mandate. It is necessary for the candidate to have good command of English or French language. Besides, he should also have basic capabilities related to research data analysis, IT and communication. The organization gives priority to students who are ready to work in an international environment.

How long will the internship last?

OECD internships usually last between 1 and 6 months. If needed, its time can be increased up to 12 months. This is mainly a full time internship, which requires working 40 hours a week. However, in some special conditions, part time arrangement may also be available. The organization advises students to opt for an internship of at least 4 months so that they can gain more practical experience.

If you are looking for a job and want to experience work, then there is good news for you! The Government of India has started the second phase of the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme (PMIS). Under this scheme, the youth will get a chance to do 12 months internship, which will include 6 months on-hand training. • Diploma holder – 18,000 posts
• 12th pass candidate – 15,000 posts
• 10th pass candidate – 25,000 posts
