OECD Internship 2026: A great opportunity has come for Indian students who dream of doing internship abroad. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, based in Paris, the capital of France, has started an internship program for students from different fields. Through this internship, students will get an opportunity to work with international level experts. Stipend will also be given for living expenses. OECD is an inter-governmental organization, which includes many major countries of the world. This organization works on subjects related to economic development, global cooperation and social policies. The headquarters of the organization is in Paris and the students selected as interns here will get the experience of working in the international environment.
What will be the work of the intern?
During internship, students will be involved in various work related to research and policy. They will get the opportunity to prepare research reports, review documents, collect data and analyze it. Apart from this, you will also get the experience of participating in meetings, seminars and other programs as well as coordination with experts and representatives of different countries. At the same time, the intern will have to prepare notes for working papers and other official documents and assist in communication planning and evaluation work of different schemes.
Stipend and other facilities
The most special thing about this internship is its stipend. Selected candidates will be given 1000 Euros every month for accommodation and food expenses, which is equivalent to approximately Rs 1.10 lakh in Indian currency. Apart from this, students doing internship for more than two months will also get 2.5 days leave per month. According to the OECD strategy, if needed, the facility to do some work outside the office can also be provided.

Who can apply for internship?
Students studying Bachelors, Masters and PhD can apply for this program. Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time degree program and their field of study must be related to the OECD’s mandate. It is necessary for the candidate to have good command of English or French language. Besides, he should also have basic capabilities related to research data analysis, IT and communication. The organization gives priority to students who are ready to work in an international environment.
How long will the internship last?
OECD internships usually last between 1 and 6 months. If needed, its time can be increased up to 12 months. This is mainly a full time internship, which requires working 40 hours a week. However, in some special conditions, part time arrangement may also be available. The organization advises students to opt for an internship of at least 4 months so that they can gain more practical experience.
