National Testing Agency (NTA) may soon release the question paper and answer sheet on the official website. Provisional answer key of UGC NET 2026 may be released soon

National Testing Agency (NTA) had conducted the UGC NET June 2026 examination from June 22 to June 30, 2026 at various examination centers across the country. After the completion of the examination, now the candidates are eyeing the provisional answer key. It is expected that NTA can release the answer key any time on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Along with this, response sheets and question papers of the candidates will also be made available.

What does the trend of last years tell us?

If we look at the records of previous years, NTA usually releases the provisional answer key within one to two weeks of the completion of the examination. In the year 2025, the examination was held from 25 to 29 June and the answer key was released on 6 July. Whereas in 2024 and 2023 also, the provisional answer key was released a few days after the end of the examination. Looking at this trend, it is believed that this time also the wait of the candidates may end soon.

For this, first of all go to ugcnet.nta.nic.in website and click on Challenge Answer Key link. After this login by entering your application number and date of birth or password. Now select the question on which objection is to be lodged and upload the necessary documents in support of it. After this, submit your objection by paying the prescribed fee per question online. National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit card or hall ticket for the entrance exam to be held on 31 December 2025 on its official website. Candidates can download their admit card by visiting the National Testing Agency’s website ugcnet.nta.nic.in and entering their important information like application number and date of birth.

Complete information about UGC NET exam

UGC NET examination will start from 31 December 2025 and will be held till 7 January 2026. Under this examination, candidates become eligible to become Assistant Professor in Indian universities and if a candidate passes this examination with good marks, then the candidate gets Research and Fellowship (JRF), through which he can pursue his PhD and the government also provides scholarship to do research.

This examination of UGC NET will be conducted completely in computer based i.e. CBT mode. It is worth noting that currently the admit card has been issued only for the examination to be held on 31 December 2025, the admit card for the examination to be held on the remaining days will be issued 3 to 4 days before the day of the examination. The pattern of UGC NET entrance exam is divided into two parts. A total of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be asked from the candidates and it is mandatory to answer all the questions. Candidates will be given 3 hours to answer all the questions and the entrance exam will be of 300 marks.

UGC NET December 2025: There is good news for the candidates who are dreaming of becoming Assistant Professor. Registration for UGC NET exam has been started by NTA. Interested and eligible candidates can register for this exam by visiting the official website. Candidates can also apply with the help of the steps given below and the direct link given.

According to the notification issued by NTA, this exam will be conducted in different cities across the country and it will include 85 subjects. The examination will be completely in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. There will be two papers in the test and both will be objective type (MCQ) format. No break will be given between the two papers.

NTA will announce the exam city details, admit card release date and exam schedule later on its website. The application process has started from 7 October 2025 and will continue till 7 November 2025 (till 11:50 pm). Candidates can also pay the fees till this day.
