Real training starts after UPSC

After selection in UPSC, candidates do not become officers directly. First of all they are given training in Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). Here subjects like Administration, Constitution, Law, Economy, Public Administration and Management are taught. During training, the biggest problem is seen in the local language test. It is necessary to learn the language of the state in which the officer gets the cadre and pass its test. If an IAS or IPS probationer fails in any examination during training, he is not fired from the job. The academy gives such candidates a chance to re-examine. In such cases, action like warning, memo or deduction of marks is taken.

How is the training of LBSNAA?

LBSNAA training is considered quite challenging. Here the day starts early in the morning with PT, yoga and horse riding.
