After the attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, America simultaneously attacked 5 states of Iran. There has been a reaction from Iran on American military attacks. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has condemned these attacks and called them a violation of the United Nations Charter. Along with this, any country supporting America in attacks against Iran was also warned of retaliatory action.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry accused Washington of undermining regional stability, violating international law and violating the ceasefire agreement. Tehran also appealed to the United Nations to hold America accountable for these attacks.

What did Tehran say on Trump’s statement?

Tehran also rejected US President Donald Trump’s statements regarding the outcome of the recent discussions held in Muscat, Oman, calling them ‘complete lies’. The Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the talks focused on arrangements related to the management of the Strait of Hormuz and the security of international sea routes.

Iran expressed objection to the statement of UN Secretary General

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bakai has also objected to the statement of the United Nations (UN) Secretary General, in which he called Iran’s action a ‘military confrontation’. Tehran says this is not right. According to Bakai, Iran has exercised its legitimate right of self-defense after the attacks by America and Israel. He appealed to all countries not to allow America to use their soil to attack Iran. He also said that according to the guidelines of the United Nations, only the name ‘Persian Gulf’ should be used.

The US military on Sunday carried out attacks in five provinces of Iran, including Hormigojan, Markazi, Ahwaz, Bushehr, Khuzestan and Baluchistan-Sistan. One person has died and five people are injured in Khuzestan. Centcom said that the US military has started new attacks on Iran. These have been described as an effort to reduce Tehran’s ability to threaten commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The US Army said that President Donald Trump had ordered this action to hold the Iranian military ‘accountable’ and ensure security from Hormuz.

Middle East Conflicts: A major development has come to light amid the ongoing conflict and tension between America and Iran in the Middle East. The US Army claimed on Friday (May 8, 2026) that it has disabled two more Iranian-flagged oil tankers, M/T Sea Star III and M/T Sevda. There is also news of 10 Iranian soldiers being injured in the firing during this incident. The US Army said that action was taken against these two tankers when they were trying to break the US Navy blockade near the Strait of Hormuz and enter an Iranian port located in the Gulf of Oman. America alleged that these ships were violating the ongoing American blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.

Centcom shared information about attack on Iranian ship

According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter aircraft, which took off from USS George HW Bush (CVN 77), scored precision strikes on the chimneys of both tankers, killing them. Earlier on Wednesday (May 6, 2026) also, American forces had deactivated M/T Hasna.

According to Centcom, this ship was also heading towards an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman. An F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter aircraft flying from USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) fired several rounds from its 20 mm cannon, damaging the tanker ship’s rudder. Centcom said that now these three ships are not moving towards Iran.

Commander Brad Cooper of US Central Command (CENTCOM) said, ‘US forces in the Middle East are committed to fully enforcing the blockade of ships coming to and from Iran. Our soldiers are doing a wonderful job.

According to the US military, many commercial ships have been disabled and the route of more than 50 ships has been changed to ensure compliance with the blockade.
