Responding to the report of news agency Reuters, US Ambassador Sergio Gore posted on social media platform X saying that it is a fake news alert. Nobody has ruled anything out. He said that there have been very positive meetings between the two sides regarding the trade deal. The US Ambassador said that both sides have reiterated their commitment to finalize the trade agreement. We are constantly actively engaged. Union Minister Piyush Goyal has also termed this report on social media as completely wrong and baseless. Goyal said that this news is nothing but completely false, baseless and misleading. I had excellent meetings with US Trade Representative Jameson Greer when he visited Delhi in June, and both sides are committed to an agreement that is balanced and makes commercial sense. He told that our teams are busy achieving this objective.
