West Bengal and Kerala government also targeted

The ruling TMC of West Bengal and the CPI(M) government of Kerala also made sharp attacks on the Election Commission. TMC MP Derek O’Brien said, “The SIR in Bihar was just a trial, the real target is Bengal. The public will answer to the commission in a few months, which has now become completely biased.”

Senior CPI(M) leader M.A. Baby said that the Commission’s decision is one-sided and hasty. He alleged, “When the Supreme Court is hearing the validity of SIR in Bihar, taking this process forward is an insult to democratic standards.”

Bihar sir election commission: The initial phase of SIR in Bihar has been successfully completed.
