Iran’s Health Ministry has claimed that 14 people have died in US air strikes in the last two days, while 78 others have been injured. According to the ministry, America carried out air strikes in five provinces of Iran during this period. The injured are being treated in different hospitals. This claim has come at a time when after the ceasefire between America and Iran was broken, the tension between the two countries has again reached its peak.

Ceasefire ends, America resumes military action
The ceasefire between America and Iran has now been broken. After the attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, America has once again intensified military operations against Iran. US President Donald Trump said that the ceasefire has now ended and if Iran continues to target international ships, America will respond more strongly than before.

Attacks on missile and drone targets in southern Iran
According to US officials, on Wednesday and Thursday night the US Navy and ground forces jointly attacked several military targets in southern Iran. In these attacks, missile systems, drone bases and those bases around the Strait of Hormuz were targeted, which the US considers a threat to international maritime trade.

CENTCOM confirms additional strikes
US Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that it has launched additional military strikes against Iran. America says that their objective is to weaken Iran’s ability to influence the movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Tension increased after attacks on ships
The latest tensions began when Iran was accused of attacking at least three commercial ships and oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz on July 6 and 7. Calling it a ceasefire violation, America carried out a precision strike on more than 80 military bases in southern Iran on July 7. After this, a new round of attacks continued on 8th July also.

The process of making IBG for the hilly areas of Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim was completed on 1 July. 6 Major Generals took command of 5 newly formed IBGs and 1 Dedicated Fire Support Group under 17 Mountain Strike Corps (Brahmastra Corps) deployed on the northern border with China.

In fact, it takes a lot of time for different units of the army like infantry, artillery, tanks and medical units to reach the battlefield from different places. In such a situation, this IBG is like an army in itself. In this, all these units will work together. All these units have been combined together under a single commander.

What is IBG?
An IBG is larger than a brigade, consisting of approximately 5,000 soldiers. Every IBG has infantry, artillery, engineer, medical and ration facilities. There are about 1 lakh soldiers in the entire corps and it takes many days to mobilize them. The IBG is ready to be deployed at the front within a few hours.

Regarding India’s IBG, Pakistani defense expert Bilal Khan has said that Pakistani Army also needs to create similar units. Like Hormuz and the nuclear program, Lebanon is also going to be a big sticking point in the deal between America and Iran. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has made it clear that the end of the war will not be complete until Israeli forces withdraw from the occupied areas in Lebanon.

Araghchi has even said that any Israeli attack on Lebanon from now on and continued occupation of Lebanese areas is a violation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

These vocal voices of Araghchi regarding Lebanon came to the fore in a meeting with diplomats and ambassadors of different countries in Tehran on Tuesday. In the meeting, Araghchi presented Iran’s side to the diplomats regarding the war with America and the possible deal to be made in Geneva.

Israel separated itself from the deal
Although Iran is trying to create trouble regarding Lebanon, the reality is that Israel has distanced itself from the MOU (or deal) between America and Iran. Israel is not going to end its occupation of Southern Lebanon at any cost. Israel has made it clear that the captured area in southern Lebanon will be made a buffer (or security) zone, so that northern Israel can be protected from attacks by the Iran-backed Hezbollah militia.

According to Araghchi, after the signing of the MOU in Geneva on June 19, the war will end permanently on all fronts including Lebanon. Speaking to diplomats, Araghchi said that from our perspective America and Israel are two sides of a coin. So are Iran and Hezbollah. Whereas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to completely eliminate Iran-backed Hamas and Hezbollah. In such a situation, it seems unlikely that the attacks by Israeli Defense Forces on Hezbollah operating from Lebanon will stop.

Israel has already made it clear that attacks on Hezbollah should not be considered an attack on Lebanon. In such a situation, Iran may definitely complain and there may be obstacles in the deal.

The deal will be done in two phases, know what Araghchi has told?
Araghchi also said that the deal with America will be in 02 phases, the first phase includes the announcement of the MoU (June 14). During this time, the war between the two countries will stop and the naval blockade against Iran will end. Araghchi did not say anything clearly about Hormuz. According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, efforts are being made to keep Hormuz safe first. After this, the MoU will be signed in Geneva on June 19.
