The scope of the Russia-Ukraine war is now going to increase because Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has threatened Russia’s friendly country Belarus to remove missiles from the border. Giving an ultimatum of one week, Zelensky warned that if Russian missiles were not removed from the Ukrainian border within a week, Ukraine would attack.
Belarus is a country that has stood with Russia since the beginning of the Ukraine war i.e. February 2022. Belarus President (dictator) Lukashenko has a very close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Lukashenko is often seen in the Kremlin i.e. the office of the Russian President in Moscow. The armies of both the countries conduct military exercises together, but now Ukraine is facing a lot of problems due to their proximity.
While talking to journalists, Zelensky, who came to Europe to participate in the G-7 summit, clearly said that Russian missiles are deployed on the border of Belarus adjacent to Ukraine. Zelensky alleged that these missiles are used to kill innocent people of Ukraine.
Zelensky’s warning to Lukashenko
Zelensky told Lukashenko that Belarus had one week to remove missile guidance systems it allows Russia to use to target Ukrainian cities. Otherwise “we will remove them ourselves.” Actually, Russia has deployed its ballistic missiles on the border of Belarus adjacent to Ukraine. Nuclear missiles are also included in these.
Last week, Lukashenko had apologized to Zelensky and appealed not to carry out drone attacks on Belarus. If this happens, the economy of Belarus will not be able to bear it. For the last one week, the Russia-Ukraine war has once again become extremely fierce. When Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital Kiev with 60 missiles, Ukraine retaliated by launching a drone attack on two big refineries in the Russian capital Moscow within 48 hours. In such a situation, there is an atmosphere of chaos in Moscow. It is believed that Russia will definitely take revenge of these attacks.
Russia-Ukraine war will intensify
Despite peace efforts, the Russia-Ukraine war has been going on for the last four years. On Friday, about a dozen European countries had announced to provide arms and other aid worth about $4 billion to Ukraine against Russia. In such a situation, there is every possibility of Russia-Ukraine war breaking out once again. US President Donald Trump, who came to participate in the G-7 summit, has said that after the end of the Iran war, Ukraine will be addressed.
