Aam Janata Unnayan Party President Humayun Kabir on Wednesday (May 6, 2026) moved the Calcutta High Court seeking intervention to stop post-poll violence in West Bengal. Humayun Kabir alleged that large-scale politically motivated and planned violence took place in Murshidabad district after the declaration of West Bengal Assembly election results on May 4.

In the petition filed in the court, he said that the houses of his party workers were vandalized and his workers were beaten. He has filed a case in the division bench of Chief Justice Sujoy Paul and Justice Partha Sarathi Sen and demanded immediate action.

The Aam Janata Unnayan Party leader’s petition demands the court to ensure a fair investigation, safety of party workers and maintain peace and order in the area. Humayun Kabir’s lawyer told that during the first phase of elections (April 23), Kabir was also attacked by anti-social elements and his car was vandalized. Besides, his party workers were also harassed, but the police did not register any complaint in these cases.

Also read:- ‘Dismiss me, I will not resign’, Mamata was adamant and told the new MLAs – wear black clothes

He said that due to administrative failure, he has demanded the court to take immediate steps to maintain peace and order and has requested for a fair investigation. Let us tell you that the results of West Bengal Assembly elections were declared on May 4. In this election, Humayun Kabir won two seats in Murshidabad district.

Also read:- Vijay handed over the letter of support to 112 MLAs, Governor said- come again with 118 MLAs.

In this election, BJP won power in West Bengal and the 15-year rule of Trinamool Congress came to an end. BJP got a total of 207 seats while Trinamool Congress got 80 seats. Meanwhile, after the declaration of results, incidents of violence have come to light in many areas of the state including South 24 Parganas. There have been allegations of attacks on Trinamool Congress workers and vandalism of party offices. Police have said that strict action will be taken against those involved in such activities.

West Bengal Election Result 2026: The politics of West Bengal today is not just watching the counting of votes, but is waiting for the moment when the picture will be clear. 4 May 2026, the day of counting, numbers are changing on the TV screen outside, the heartbeat of every party is fast inside.

But meanwhile astrology is opening a layer which gives a different perspective to understand this entire day. This perspective does not just tell who is ahead and who is behind, but it also tells how the day will go, at what time the game will change and in whose hands the power can rest in the end.

The almanac of this day first attracts attention. The Moon is in Scorpio, and this is the key to this entire day. Scorpio Moon doesn’t always write a straight story. This is a situation where what appears in the beginning is not true in the end.

In politics, this situation is often associated with sudden reversals, hidden figures and last-minute twists. Therefore, if someone draws quick conclusions after seeing the morning trends, he can make the biggest mistake.

The day starts with Anuradha Nakshatra and later Jyestha Nakshatra becomes active. This change is not very simple. Anuradha’s nature is one of cooperation and balance, whereas Jyestha indicates direct power and dominance. What this means is clear – till the morning the contest will appear balanced and tough, but as time progresses, one side may suddenly appear to be in the lead. This is the point where the entire narrative can change.

Parigha Yoga is also active on this day, which in itself indicates obstruction, conflict and instability. In election language this means that counting will not be smooth. At some places there will be delays, at some places the margin will be very less, and on many seats the situation will not be clear till the last round. This is why this day will not be straight but will be full of ups and downs.

But the most decisive indication of this entire calendar is given by Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga. This yoga says that in the end only the one whose foundation is strong wins. That means, only those who are already established, who have the land base, can take the lead in the last round. This is the signal that decides the direction of the final result after a whole day of suspense.

Now if this is linked to the horoscope of April 29, 2026, the picture becomes more clear. In that horoscope the lord of power was in a weak position and the influence of the opposition seemed strong. This meant that the contest would not be easy and the ruling party would remain under pressure. But in the same horoscope, there was a decisive sign of Rahu, which was situated in the sixth house. In the scriptures, this situation is considered a sign of victory over the opponents. This meant that even if the regime appeared to be wavering, it might not ultimately collapse completely.

Put these two symbols together and the complete counting pattern emerges. The trends in the morning may be seen going in favor of the opposition. The numbers will keep changing on the TV screen, and at times it will feel as if power is slipping out of hand. The situation may become more complicated by the afternoon, where the difference in many seats will be very less and the trend will keep changing with each round. But as the final phase approaches, there may be a sudden stability, and only the side which already has a strong base can take the lead.

This is where the question arises whether Mamata Banerjee’s government will be formed again? The conclusion of this entire astrological analysis indicates that his return is possible, but this return will not be as easy as before. This victory will not be easy, but will be achieved after a struggle till the last moment. A reduction in seats is possible, pressure may increase, and the opposition will continue to challenge throughout, but in the end a complete change of power does not seem easy.

West Bengal Election Result 2026 LIVE:

The biggest psychological aspect of this day is that whatever is seen may not be true. The trend that will be formed in the initial hours of counting may be different from the final result. This is why patience will be the biggest strategy on this day, both for the parties and for the audience. Many times victory in politics is decided not just by votes but by time, and on this day, the biggest question is which way is the time inclined.

If this entire day has to be understood in one sentence, then it can be said that the fight in Bengal will remain open till the last round. The suspense will remain, the trends will keep changing, and in the end only the side which was standing on the ground from the beginning can win. This is not an election where there is a clear wave, but this is an election where the story changes every hour and the last page is different.

This analysis is based on the Panchang and Prashna Kundli of Vedic Astrology. The actual outcome depends on many social and political factors, but when the times themselves begin to signal, it becomes important to understand those signals.

West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026: Before the counting in West Bengal, politics is at its peak. This time the temperature is high regarding the strongroom. In such a situation, the Election Commission is facing many challenges before the counting. Meanwhile, the election war continues between BJP and TMC. Allegations of irregularities in the strongroom have also surfaced on Friday. This time these accused were put on behalf of BJP. Earlier on Thursday, TMC had staged a dharna amid allegations of suspicious activities inside Khudiram Anushilan Kendra.

According to news agency PTI, on Friday BJP leaders complained to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Bidhannagar. He alleged that a strong room was opened without any official permission. The report also states that six officers have been suspended in this case.

What allegations did BJP leader Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay make?

BJP leader and candidate from Bidhannagar Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay has said that the strong room was opened before the scheduled time. It had been opened at least 10 times. Mukhopadhyay has said that we have a strong room here. We were given a schedule. It was told when it would be opened. Accordingly, we all reached there on time. On reaching there we saw that the strong room was already open.

At that time it was not being opened, rather it was already open. We raised the question that when the work had not even started properly, why was it opened so soon? Later, upon enquiry, we were told that this strong room had been opened not once or twice, but at least ten times before. He has not been able to answer any of our questions.

TMC staged a protest on Thursday

Earlier on Thursday, a big political controversy had arisen in Bengal. This incident happened just a day before the second and final phase of voting. Here TMC alleged irregularities in some strong rooms in central Kolkata. After this, Kunal Ghosh and Shashi Panja staged a protest outside Khudiram Anushilan Kendra. He alleged that live footage of CCTV cameras showed outsiders inside the strong room.

They were tampering with the ballot papers kept in the machines. Party workers and supporters were present outside the strongroom till 3.30 pm. Ghosh said that suddenly an email was sent informing that the strongroom would be reopened at 4 pm. We contacted our workers. He said he had gone. Then we reached here quickly. Now we are not being allowed to go inside. BJP is being called.

Mamta Banerjee made a big allegation

Here, after this entire incident, Mamata Banerjee said that you should guard the counting centres. If necessary, I will also go and guard my area. Candidates should keep themselves safe. Stay awake. If I can do it, you can do it too. There is a plan to change the machines during transportation of EVMs. Don’t take it lightly. I am sure that the exit poll data shown on television was broadcast from a BJP office at 1.08 pm on Wednesday. Pressure was put on a section of the media to publish it. Our number can also reach 230. We are definitely crossing the figure of 226.

Before the counting of votes in West Bengal, BJP has come into full action mode. Before the counting on May 4, an important strategic meeting of the party has been called in Kolkata on May 2. Those expatriate leaders who were given the responsibility of being in-charge of the assembly and zone in the West Bengal elections have been called to attend this meeting. All these leaders will be given important responsibilities on the day of counting. West Bengal in-charge Sunil Bansal and election in-charge Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav will attend this high-level meeting on behalf of the central leadership.

After voting in West Bengal, most of the exit polls are showing the formation of BJP government. Now BJP’s entire focus is on vote counting. A series of meetings are going on in BJP regarding this. Bengal in-charge Sunil Bansal and Bhupendra Yadav are camping in West Bengal. Immediately after the first voting, on April 30, Sunil Bansal and Bhupendra Yadav held a meeting with prominent party leaders in Kolkata and took the ground report regarding the voting.

After that, on May 1, both the leaders held a meeting with local party leaders and counting agents in Siliguri and informed them about the details of counting of votes at the counting centre. After that, on May 2, the party has called the expatriate leaders on election duty to Kolkata. A meeting will also be held with them and on the day of counting, they will be instructed by the party to stay in their respective areas of charge and keep an eye on the counting of votes.

Also read:- Exit Poll 2026: BJP’s storm in today’s Chanakya exit poll, ‘played’ with Mamata Banerjee in the survey

The focus of this meeting is very clear that there should be no lapse at any level on the counting day. From booth level to counting centre, every arrangement will be reviewed in detail. The final strategy on who will be deployed at which centre, what will be the role of the agents and how monitoring of each round will be ensured will be decided in this meeting. All these leaders will also share ground reports and feedback of their respective areas, so that the ground situation can be accurately assessed.

Also read:- ‘If BJP comes to power in Bengal…’ What did the Bangladeshi MP say about the assembly elections in the Parliament of Bangladesh, created ruckus

In fact, the contest on many seats in Bengal is considered to be very close. On one hand, TMC is claiming to make a comeback on the basis of its welfare schemes, while on the other hand, BJP is claiming its victory, encouraged by the results of its ground reports and exit polls. In such a situation, BJP will keep a close eye on every round, every table and every data on the day of counting. This meeting of May 2 is not just a review of the preparations, but is being considered as the last strategic exercise of BJP for the decisive battle of May 4.

After TMC’s allegations, high voltage political drama continued in West Bengal late on the night of 30 April. First, TMC leaders sat on protest in front of the strongroom alleging EVM tampering. This issue became completely heated when CM Mamata Banerjee herself reached the EVM strongroom with the TMC worker. TMC had also released a video related to this, on which the Election Commission gave clarification.

Strict monitoring on Mamata Banerjee: Shubhendu Adhikari

TMC alleged that the party workers deployed for guarding outside the EVM strong room were deliberately removed by the central forces so that a conspiracy could be hatched to tamper with the EVMs inside the strong room. Now strict monitoring is being done by the security forces in and around the counting centers in Kolkata and other districts. Meanwhile, BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari said on Friday (April 1, 2026) that CM Mamata Banerjee is being closely monitored to prevent any kind of irregularity before the West Bengal election results.

I would like to assure the entire voters of West Bengal including Bhabanipur constituency that the Trinamool Congress candidate of this center and the outgoing Chief Minister, Hon.
No matter how hard he tries, there is no rule… pic.twitter.com/9hxyr3A97x

CM Mamta stayed in EVM strong room for four hours

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee left the EVM strongroom at 12:07 pm on Thursday (30 April 2026) after spending four hours in the EVM strongroom. Subhendu Adhikari, who is challenging Mamata Banerjee from Bhawanipur seat, said that amid allegations of ballot box manipulation, strict monitoring of EVMs and strong rooms is being done. He shared a picture on social media, in which CM Mamata Banerjee is seen. He wrote, ‘I want to assure the people of West Bengal and Bhawanipur that the current CM has been given strict instructions to avoid taking undue advantage.’

He said that no matter how hard she tried, she (Mamata Banerjee) has been unable to indulge in any activity beyond the rules. Mamata Banerjee alleged that reports of EVM-related irregularities have come to light from many parts of the state. He said that after reviewing the CCTV footage, he decided to visit the strong room.

Tampering with vote counting process will not be tolerated: Mamata Banerjee

CM Mamata Banerjee said, ‘Public votes should be kept safe. I reached here after receiving complaints. Initially the central forces did not allow me to enter. Before the counting of votes on May 4, he said in a stern tone, ‘If there is any intention to tamper with the counting process, it will not be tolerated.’

There is no scope for any irregularities: Election Commission

West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manoj Aggarwal said on Friday that there is no scope for any irregularities at the counting centers and the ‘strong room’ is being monitored 24 hours by CCTV. He said that in view of the arrangements, there is no scope for any kind of irregularities. The strong room is being monitored 24 hours by CCTV and people can see this surveillance from outside also. He also said that there should be solid reason and evidence to make allegations and the complaints are baseless

Most of the exit polls released after record voting in West Bengal have shown BJP getting majority. Union Minister Sukant Majumdar claimed on Friday (1 April 2026) that BJP government is going to be formed in Bengal with two-thirds majority. He claimed that those who live outside Bengal have also come here and voted against Mamata Banerjee.

In an interview given to news agency IANS, he said that BJP is going to get a big victory under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the strong room controversy, he said, ‘Mamata Banerjee and TMC have agreed that they are going to sit in the opposition. Opponent mode has been turned on. Mamata Banerjee has accepted that she is going to lead the opposition party. The Union Minister said that the Election Commission has responded to all the allegations made by TMC.

Regarding the investigation into corruption in Mamata Banerjee’s government, he said that the Chief Minister and her cabinet members will decide what to do next. He said that wherever such a thing comes to light, the government will take strict action. The Union Minister said that Islamic fundamentalism should be stopped. It is not right to comment on this in advance. The Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers will decide once our government is formed, but it is certain that Islamic fundamentalism has to be eliminated from Bengal.

Sukant Majumdar gave update regarding CM in Bengal

BJP has been avoiding announcing the name of the Chief Minister before the election results. However, during the election campaign, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said several times that the CM of Bengal will be a resident of Bengal and a Bengali speaker. Regarding the question related to the Chief Minister, Sukant Majumdar also did not mention anyone’s name directly. He said that the parliamentary committee will decide who will be the CM of Bengal.

What did the Union Minister say about fencing on the border?

He said that good people who believe in their religion should follow it accordingly. Bigotry is not acceptable. Regarding fencing on the border, he said, land will be made available to BSF in collaboration with the Central Government. Will complete the fencing work as soon as possible. In the coming time, BJP government will follow Deduct, Delete and Deport. To ensure that there is no violence in Bengal, he said, ‘Home Minister Amit Shah has told that central forces are going to be deployed in Bengal for two months. BJP government will bring democracy to West Bengal. He stressed that only BJP government is going to be formed.

BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari on Friday (1 May 2026) accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of ‘drama’ in front of the counting center last night. At the BJP election office in Bhawanipur, he said that the Chief Minister may keep doing such drama for two more days, but the results will not change.

Mamta Banerjee is doing drama: Shubhendu Adhikari

Shubhendu, who is contesting against the Trinamool Congress chief from Bhawanipur constituency, said, ‘What she (Mamata Banerjee) is doing is nothing less than drama. She reached the counting center in a vehicle equipped with facilities like washroom and stayed there for four hours. Even if she wants to change the result, it will never happen. He alleged that Mamata Banerjee wanted to stay at the counting center till May 4.

He said, ‘Vigilant BJP workers foiled their conspiracy after seeing the vehicle equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Since there was no suitable place for them to stay for a long time, they had to return. It is certain that she (Mamata) will be out of power in West Bengal. Shubhendu, who is also contesting from Nandigram in East Medinipur district, had gone to Sakhawat Girls counting center as a candidate.

BJP is coming to Bengal: Shubhendu

On Mamata Banerjee’s allegations of EVM manipulation, he said, “What is her plan? Whatever she is doing is not right. She is frustrated because she is losing. Change is taking place in West Bengal and everyone knows this. The true results will be known by the afternoon of May 4, but the BJP government is coming.”

Mamata Banerjee had reached the counting center of Bhawanipur assembly constituency on Thursday (30 April 2026) evening, expressing apprehension of EVM tampering. Mamata, who left the counting center at Sakhawat Memorial School in South Kolkata after midnight, said that only one person would be allowed to enter the designated counting area. Taking a tough stand before the counting of votes, he said, ‘If any conspiracy is hatched to cause any kind of disturbance in the counting process, it will not be tolerated.’

Election voting has ended in West Bengal. Election results will come on May 4. This time, according to many exit polls, BJP government is being formed in Bengal. In such a situation, Left and Congress have proposed an alliance to TMC. This has been rejected by senior TMC leader and spokesperson Shantanu Sen.

On the question of ABP News, CPI General Secretary Balchandra Kango said that if Mamata agrees to the Common Minimum Programme, then she can support. Apart from this, Congress leader Tariq Anwar has said that if we have to join hands with TMC to stop BJP in West Bengal, then we should do so.

BJP in-charge Bansal claimed victory by writing poetry

Bengal BJP in-charge Sunil Bansal, while posting on X, has poetically claimed the victory of BJP. He said that it rained unseasonably and turned it into mud again today; It seems as if the lotus is about to bloom.

Voting has been completed in other states of India including West Bengal. The results will come on May 4. Earlier, voting took place in two phases in Bengal. This time the people of the state have exercised their right to vote in large numbers.
