Let us tell you that at the beginning of the year, Sri Lanka Cricket had also requested to add three T20 matches in the tour along with the Test series. According to reports, this request was initially accepted as a good step to help Sri Lanka raise funds to help the people affected by Cyclone ‘Ditvah’. But considering India’s international calendar, BCCI did not include the T20 series.

Team India’s last test
Team India played the last test against Afghanistan. The only Test between India and Afghanistan was played in New Chandigarh. In the match, Team India, captained by Shubman Gill, won by an innings and 300 runs. This match was not a part of the World Test Championship points table, due to which India could not get any significant benefit even after the victory.
