During the chaos in TMC and leaders leaving the party, Sonakshi Sinha had advised her father Shatrughan Sinha to stand firm and not change his stand.

In an interview given to News18, Shatrughan Sinha spoke openly on the defection of leaders in TMC. He told that during this period, daughter Sonakshi Sinha advised him not to leave the party. Shatrughan said, ‘Many people put pressure on me to change the party. Even people said that I have sold out because of supporting Mamata Banerjee, but my children always encouraged me.
