stated moral judgment
Rinku Singh Rahi said in his resignation letter, “This is my moral decision. Unless I get a chance to work honestly in the system, it is meaningless to continue in the post.” His resignation has become a topic of discussion in the UP administration. Many people on social media are calling this an example of sidelining of honest officers, while some are considering it a personal decision. At present, there has been no response from the government in this matter.
There was an attack on exposing the scam
Let us tell you here that the story of Rinku Singh Rahi has been an example of struggle and courage. In 2009, when he was District Social Welfare Officer in Muzaffarnagar, he had exposed a scholarship scam of Rs 100 crore. After this the mafia attacked him fatally and shot him 7 times. He lost the vision in one eye, his jaw was damaged, but his courage did not break. Cracked UPSC in 13th attempt from Divyang quota and became IAS in 2022 batch.
There was a dispute in Shahjahanpur
Even after becoming IAS, Rahi’s troubles did not reduce. Recently, he got posted as SDM in Puwayan tehsil of Shahjahanpur district, where he took strict steps to maintain cleanliness and discipline. He took action after seeing a clerk urinating in the open, after which the video of the lawyers doing sit-ups in protest went viral and he was removed in just 36 hours. Now he has alleged that he is not being given any active posting for a long time. Getting salary, but no opportunity to serve the public.
