A video that surfaced from Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir has shocked people on social media. In the viral video, some people are seen brutally killing a voiceless stray dog. The video is so painful that whoever saw it was heartbroken. It is being told that this incident took place in Magam Beerwah area of ​​Central Kashmir where some people together attacked the dog with stones and sticks. The dog died after suffering continuous attacks. Now there is a lot of anger on social media regarding this incident and people are demanding strict action against the accused.

In fact, in the video going viral on social media, some people are seen surrounding a stray dog ​​and attacking it with heavy stones and wooden sticks. In the video, the dog tries to save itself but the crowd keeps beating it. Ultimately he dies due to serious injuries. According to initial information, the dog was accused of biting some pedestrians in the area. However, animal rights activists say that killing animals in this manner is illegal and inhumane under any circumstances.

People’s anger erupted on social media

As soon as the video went viral, people started giving sharp reactions on social media. Many users described the incident as “cruel” and “inhumane”. Animal lovers and animal rights groups have demanded strict action against the accused. People say that even if a stray animal becomes aggressive, help should have been taken from the Municipal Corporation, Animal Control Department or veterinarians, and not by forming a crowd and killing it. After this incident, a debate has erupted on social media regarding increasing cruelty to animals.

Police registered FIR

After increasing anger on social media, Jammu and Kashmir Police has started investigating the matter. Police have registered FIR number 57/26 against unknown people under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act at Magam police station. Officials say that the accused are being identified on the basis of viral video and local information. Police have also appealed to people to avoid spreading rumors and inflammatory claims. It has also been assured that strict action will be taken in the matter under the law.
