Demand to wear bikini without telling Bindu
Actress Bindu shared an incident from the shooting of the film ‘Joshila’. In this film released in 1973, Bindu worked with stalwarts like Dev Anand, Hema Malini, Rakhi Gulzar. The director of this film was Yash Chopra. The actress told that she was suddenly asked to wear a bikini for a scene. Earlier they were not given any information regarding this.

In a recent interview given to YouTuber Vicky Lalwani, the actress said about this incident, ‘I stopped shooting for two hours because I was not ready to wear a proper bikini. A bikini is a bikini. I said to Yash ji, ‘Please… you never told me about this before. I came to know about it only after reaching the set.
Yash Chopra assured, Dev Anand kept watching silently
Bindu further said, ‘Then Yash ji said,’ Stay under water as much as possible. We will shoot in the same way and take only side and back shots. Poor Dev Anand ji just sat quietly and said nothing. The shoot stopped for about two hours. I kept wondering what he might be thinking. But, Yash ji assured me and said, ‘We will manage. Don’t worry.’

This question was asked to the cinematographer after the shot
The actress further says, ‘They lowered me into the water, took shots from there, and then filmed only from the side and back. Later I asked the cinematographer how it felt. He said, ‘Don’t worry, you are looking good, not indecent.’ When he said this, I felt relieved.
