‘Thief-thief, TMC thief’, people raised slogans in the flight after seeing Mahua Moitra after Bengal election results.

Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra lodged a formal complaint with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Thursday. He alleged that some people harassed him in an Indigo flight while going to Delhi to attend the meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence.

In a post on social media platform X, the TMC MP said that the incident happened on IndiGo flight 6E 719. He claimed that as soon as the flight landed and before the doors opened, many people saw him and raised slogans and also made a video of the incident.

Slogans raised after seeing Mahua Moitra

In the video shared by the TMC MP, it can be seen that after seeing him, some people raised slogans of Chor Chor, TMC Chor, Pishi Chor, Bhaipo Chor. Actually, these slogans were against TMC chief Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee. She described the incident as harassment and said it affected her safety in the plane.

Mahua Moitra called sloganeering as harassment
In a post on X, Mahua Moitra said that this is not a civil outrage. This is harassment and a violation of my safety on the plane. Under no circumstances can these scoundrels get away with this kind of harassment inside the plane. He further said that this is the culture of BJP. What is surprising in this? Moitra said that at first she ignored the matter and attended the parliamentary meeting. However, after watching the video on social media, he decided to speak publicly about the incident.

Complaint registered on incident of sloganeering of ‘thief’
In his complaint to the DGCA, the TMC MP alleged that mischievous elements raised slogans continuously and loudly with the aim of intimidating and humiliating me because of my political affiliation.
