NCPI made allegations of using abusive language
Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI), which broke away from TMC, had filed a complaint against Kalyan Banerjee to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and accused him of using abusive language. It is claimed that Kalyan Banerjee had argued with the MPs. A woman MP from NCPI was also involved in this debate. However, the reason for this conflict was not revealed.
This debate took place after the adjournment of the House. After the incident, NCPI members met the Lok Sabha Speaker in his chamber and submitted a written complaint demanding action against Kalyan Banerjee. When the House resumed proceedings at 2 pm, Presiding Krishna Prasad Tennetti said that Kalyan Banerjee had used unparliamentary language against women MPs. The Lok Sabha Speaker has received a written complaint in this regard.

On the request of presiding judge Krishna Prasad Tennetti, Union Parliamentary Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal moved a motion to suspend Kalyan Banerjee from the Lok Sabha for the remainder of the current monsoon session.
