Train Ticket Booking: While booking train tickets, people often make some mistakes in haste or due to carelessness, which can create major problems during the journey. Whenever you book a train ticket, enter every information correctly. Recently, a case has come to light on social media, where a passenger had to pay a fine despite having a valid ticket. In such a situation, it is natural that a question arises in everyone’s mind that why did the TTE impose a fine even after being ticketed?
Learn about the case in detail?
Actually, a 24 year old passenger was traveling in Rajdhani Express between Bengaluru and Nagpur. During this time, when TTE asked for the ticket from the passenger, his age was written as 1 year instead of 24 years. The passenger had mistakenly written the age wrong. However, even after writing the wrong age, he did not get any discount in the fare, yet an extra charge of Rs 7,035 was taken from the passenger.
According to railway rules, every information on the passenger’s ticket and his identity card should be the same. If this is not the case, the passenger may be considered without ticket. TTE collected fine from the passenger as per applicable rules.
