Trump will give America’s biggest honor to the lifeguard who saved the life of a boy on the beach

US President Donald Trump has invited the 16-year-old lifeguard (Ryder) who saved the life of a 10-year-old child to the White House. Trump has announced to give him the country’s highest civilian honor.

The video of this rescue, which took place at Seabright Beach in Santa Cruz, about 72 miles from San Francisco, is going viral on social media. During the weekend, a 10 year old child started drowning due to the very dangerous and high waves of the sea. However, even during this time the lifeguard did not lose courage and showed bravery.

The 16-year-old lifeguard risked his life and fought against the waves continuously and did not let go of his hold on the child. In the viral video, it can be clearly seen that the lifeguard is holding the boy tightly, while the waves are repeatedly hitting him and pulling him back towards the water. In the video, he was seen struggling continuously to save the minor boy.

People present nearby were also seen trying to help both of them, as they were being pulled into the water again and again. After a lot of effort, the lifeguard finally succeeded in bringing the boy safely to the shore. Donald Trump posted on Twitter on Tuesday (July 28), saying, “We will invite this brave young man and his family and maybe even the boy whose life he saved to the White House and give him a major civilian honor. He is very brave, he deserves it.” Local photographer Scott Vander Dussen told KTVU that sea conditions were calm before the rescue.

He further said, “When the wave hit, white foam formed and I saw a black dot, which was its head, and was being pulled out.” Vander Dussen said it was the most difficult rescue operation he had seen. He also said that he wants this footage to serve as a warning to people about safety at sea.
