Former veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh, who has blown away the batsmen on the cricket field, has surprised the Aam Aadmi Party. Bhajji has left the Aam Aadmi Party. It has been claimed that Harbhajan will now join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Bhajji had been bowling on the political pitch for a long time. He became Rajya Sabha MP from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in March 2022.

Today i.e. on Friday afternoon, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha held a press conference and informed that Harbhajan Singh has resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party. Raghav claimed that Bhajji will now join BJP along with seven AAP MPs. This means that the turbinators who were playing for the common man till now will now play for the BJP team.
Harbhajan Singh, who created a stir in the cricket world with his spin for years, entered active politics in 2021. It is said that Bhajji had debuted in politics after taking advice from ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar.
Harbhajan Singh’s political journey
After retiring from all formats of cricket in 2021, Harbhajan Singh entered politics. After retirement from cricket, Harbhajan Singh joined Aam Aadmi Party. He was elected unopposed as Rajya Sabha member from Punjab by AAP in March 2022. Bhajji was the second cricketer from Punjab who started a new innings in politics after saying goodbye to cricket. Before Bhajji, former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu had debuted in politics.
45 year old Habjan Singh played 103 Tests, 236 ODIs and 28 T20 International matches. Bhajji has 417 wickets in Test, 269 wickets in ODI and 25 wickets in T20 International. Harbhajan played 163 matches in IPL. During this period he took 150 wickets.
