Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) chief Uddhav Thackeray strongly attacked BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event organized in Mumbai on Wednesday (July 29). Here he released the book ‘Marmik Prabodhan Shatak’. On this occasion, he targeted the Central Government on issues like Delimitation Bill, Constitution, Hindutva and familyism.
Addressing the program, Uddhav Thackeray said that the government is breaking the MPs to bring the delimitation bill. He alleged that political parties are being weakened with the intention of changing the Constitution.

Uddhav Thackeray said, “They also use political parties and when their work is done, they throw them away. You used Lord Ram and then left him too. Don’t you feel ashamed while looting the temple of the same Ram in whose name you gained power? Yet you call yourself Hindu and when we raise issues, we say look, they have left Hindutva. So what have you left? The real question is, what had you adopted in the first place?” You had already given up shame, embarrassment and dignity, then what difference does it make now?”

In his address, Uddhav Thackeray also openly responded to the allegations of nepotism. He said that his family has a recorded history of more than a hundred years and he is proud of it.
He said, “All this is going on there and these people talk about familism. Yes, I have familism, but it has a tradition and I am proud of it. At least 100 years of history of our family is available on record. What is the history of their family? Where did they come from? After all, at which station did they sell tea? There is no trace of it and there is even less accountability.”
During his speech, Uddhav Thackeray also took a dig by referring to the old statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, “’What about me, I will leave with my bag’, but then what will happen to the country?”

He further said, “That’s why I say that listening to praise and the Thackeray family, these are two completely different things, because we do not accept all this. We are the people who stumble upon injustice and hypocrisy and move ahead. Our family is a family that stands shoulder to shoulder with the truth and this is our Shiv Sena.”
Uddhav Thackeray’s entire speech during the program revolved around attacks on BJP and the central government. Reiterating his old political stance, he said that his party will continue to raise its voice against injustice and hypocrisy.
