UGC Net 2026: UGC NET exam determines eligibility for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in universities and colleges in India. This examination is conducted under the National Testing Agency (NTA) and lakhs of candidates from across the country appear for it every year. The application process for UGC NET June 2026 session started from 29 April 2026. Now NTA has officially announced that the application process will end on 20th May 2026 i.e. the candidates who have not applied yet have very limited time to fill the form and deposit the fee. UGC Net 2026 application process and last date
Application for UGC NET June 2026 can be made completely online and for this, NTA advises the candidates to deposit the application fee on time and download the confirmation page after the form is submitted. Keep in mind that the application process will be considered complete only when the fees are paid successfully. Its online application process started from 29 April 2026 and the last date to fill the application is 20 May 2026 till 11:50 pm.
What is UGC Net 2026 application fee?
The application fee for UGC NET June 2026 has been decided differently according to the category of the candidates and it is mandatory to submit it through online mode. In which general category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 1150, General EWS and OBC-NCL category candidates will have to pay Rs 600, while SC, ST, PWD and PwBD category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 325.
When can I make corrections in the application form?
If a candidate has made any mistake in the application form, then NTA also gives an opportunity to correct it, corrections can be made in the application form from 22 May 2026 to 24 May 2026 till 11:50 pm. During this period, candidates can correct name, date of birth, examination center or other details in their form.

Exam City, Admit Card and Exam Date
The exam city for UGC NET June 2026 candidates will be announced by 10 June 2026, while the admit card candidates can download by 15 June 2026. The exam will be held between June 22, 2026 to June 30, 2026, and details of exam centre, date and shift will be given in the admit card. The recorded responses and answer keys will be released later on the official website. Candidates are advised to download the admit card well in time and check all the details carefully before the examination.

3. Make new registration or login already registered candidates.
4. Fill the form, upload documents and deposit the application fee.
5.After the fees, download the confirmation page and keep it safe for future. After submitting the form, it is very important to keep a copy of the payment and confirmation page with you.
