- Trump praised Iran’s capability and people.
US Iran Talks: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) has indicated that everything is positive between the US and Iran regarding Islamabad talks 2.0. He said that we will soon have a big deal with Tehran. Praising the people of Iran, he said that the people of Iran are very good and capable. However, immediately after praising Trump, he also threatened Iran. He said that if Iran does not sign any agreement with us, then bombing there may start again.
Trump claimed that America has complete control over the Strait of Hormuz. America is in a very strong position at the moment and there is a possibility of a better agreement with Iran. However, he also said that Iran has no options and will have to compromise.
We used ceasefire to increase power: Trump
In an interview with CNBC, President Trump said that in the last 47 years, we were in a very strong position to make compromises, which other presidents should have done, but now I have got the opportunity to complete it. He said that America did nothing for the blood thirsty people for 47 years.
He said that we are fully prepared and we are stronger than before the ceasefire. We used the ceasefire to increase our power and they may have done the same to some extent.

Iran should act wisely and sign a deal with us: Trump
Donald Trump said, ‘We caught a ship yesterday, Monday (April 20, 2026), which had some things which were not good. Maybe it was a gift from China, I don’t know, I’m surprised. I thought I had an understanding with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
He said, ‘If Iran acts wisely and signs a better agreement with us, it can become a strong and prosperous country again.’ Praising the people of Iran, Trump said that the people of Iran are very good and capable. They will have to work on the real reasons and use their common sense.
If no deal is reached, major action will be taken: Trump
On the other hand, while adopting a tough stance, he has also indicated that if no concrete progress is made soon, military action can be resumed. During the interview, when he was asked whether the bombing would resume if there was no progress towards an agreement in a day or two, Trump clearly said, ‘I hope there will be bombing.’
