Indian team’s tour of England is starting from 1st July. India vs England 1st T20 match will be played tomorrow at Chester Lee Street. How India’s playing eleven will be in this match remains a topic of discussion. Will Vaibhav Suryavanshi get a chance to debut or not? Will any batsman or bowler be out of the final-11 after the 0-2 defeat against Ireland or not? Many such questions will be before the team management also.
What will be Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s debut?
Before the T20 series against Ireland, captain Shreyas Iyer and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak said that Vaibhav is undoubtedly an excellent cricketer, but he may have to wait for his debut. Now the Indian team’s assistant coach Ryan ten Deutsche has reiterated the same thing.
Ryan ten Deutsche said, “There is no doubt that Vaibhav Suryavanshi is absolutely ready to play international cricket. But it cannot be that Sanju Samson is dropped in his place, who played a big role in India winning the T20 World Cup 3 months ago. Samson also had a good IPL season. It is important to instill confidence in the players.”
It becomes clear from his statement that at least the chances of Vaibhav getting a chance to debut in the first T20 match against England are very less.
Washington Sundar returns
Suryansh Shedge got a chance to make his international debut in the second T20 match against Ireland, but he could neither perform impressively with the bat nor in the bowling. For the tough challenge against England, it is possible that on the basis of experience, Washington Sundar may return to the playing eleven.
Jasprit Bumrah has returned, hence Gurnoor Brar and Prasidh Krishna may be dropped from the playing eleven. Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana can handle the responsibility of fast bowling in the first T20 against England.
