1. Weekly Pay – There are four main methods of paying salaries to employees in America. In which the first method is Weekly Pay, in which employees get salary every week and are paid approximately 52 times in a year. This method is used more in certain sectors like construction, because it helps employees get paid quickly, although companies have to do the payroll process again and again.
2. Biweekly Pay – Now the second method is biweekly pay, in which salary is given every two weeks and payment is made a total of 26 times in a year. This is considered to be the most popular method as it is balanced and easy, although sometimes it may involve getting salary thrice in two months.
3. Twice a month (Semimonthly Pay) – The third method is semimonthly pay, in which salary is given twice a month on fixed dates like 15th and 30th and payment is made 24 times in a year. The advantage in this is that the dates remain fixed, but sometimes the difference in days can cause some inconvenience.
4. Monthly Pay – The last method is monthly pay, in which salary is received once a month and payment is made only 12 times in a year. This is easy for companies, but employees have to wait for money for a long time.
