Indian captain Shreyas Iyer said after the 90-run win against Zimbabwe that due to the injury of fast bowler Prince Yadav, the team may have to make some changes in the third and final T20 match to be played on Sunday. Prince Yadav left the field due to muscle strain while bowling the second ball of his second over. Before getting injured he had taken two wickets.

In the second T20, India had scored 219 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs after playing first. In reply, host Zimbabwe team could score only 129 runs in 17.5 overs. For India, Ishan Kishan played brilliant innings of 81 runs and Tilak Verma played 60 unbeaten innings. With this victory, Team India has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20 series.

After India’s victory in the second T20, Shreyas Iyer said, “Unfortunately one of our players is injured, so some changes may be seen in the team in tomorrow (Sunday) match.”

Iyer further said, “Ishan and Tilak batted brilliantly. I thought 180 to 200 runs would be a competitive score on this wicket, but we scored 220 runs, which proved to be a bonus for the team. This is the attitude we should have on the field. The most important thing is to stay in the present and execute our plans in a better way.”

On the young team’s fearless attitude, Iyer said, “Yes, that’s the approach one should take towards the game. I think it all depends on attitude. Don’t focus too much on past achievements. Keep moving forward and most importantly, focus on the present. You have to make the most of every opportunity you get. Tomorrow is another opportunity, so we are looking forward to it.”
