9 people died in the attack a day earlier
Earlier on Saturday, health officials had said that at least 9 people had died in Israeli attacks and firing in the Gaza Strip on Saturday. These include a child and a journalist from Al Jazeera. According to officials, four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on an apartment building in Gaza City. These included two women and a child. Medical staff had informed that the apartment was destroyed in the attack on the building in Sabra area of Gaza city. Many were injured.

The name of the deceased journalist is Ahmed Visah. This incident has come two months after the killing of his elder brother Mohammad Wishah, himself a journalist for Al Jazeera, by the Israeli army. One person was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Khan Yunis, in the south of the area. 8 were injured.
