Who is Ashok Sharma?

Ashok Sharma comes from Rajasthan. He is a resident of Rampura area near Jaipur and his cricket career has been full of struggles. Ashok’s father is a farmer and his elder brother has played cricket. The income was not much, so the father could only fulfill his son’s cricket dream. In such a situation, Ashok’s elder brother Akshay Sharma had to give up his cricket dream.

Ashok Sharma’s hard work finally paid off and in the 2025-26 domestic season, he created many records by destroying the opposition batting. Ashok plays for Rajasthan in Indian domestic cricket and was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26. He took a total of 22 wickets in 10 matches. Apart from this, he also wreaked havoc in Vijay Hazare Trophy and took 13 wickets in 7 matches.

Got IPL contract

Due to his tremendous performance in domestic cricket, Ashok Sharma was successful in getting the contract of Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 auction. He was bought by Gujarat Titans in the auction for Rs 90 lakh. In his first season, he played 6 matches for Gujarat and took 6 wickets. Ashok could not take many wickets, but he definitely created a sensation in the Indian cricket world by bowling the ball at a speed of 154.2 km per hour.
