Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 (ICC Womens T20 World Cup 2026) is starting from June 12 (Friday). 12 teams will participate in the tournament to be hosted by England. 11 out of 12 teams have played the T20 World Cup before, but one team is taking part in the tournament for the first time. This is the Netherlands women’s team, which will play the T20 World Cup for the first time. Netherlands had qualified by finishing fourth in the qualifiers.

At how many venues will the matches be held?

A total of 33 matches will be played in the tournament. These matches will be held on 7 grounds. These grounds include Edgbaston (in Birmingham), Old Trafford (Manchester), Headingley (Leeds), Rose Bowl (Southampton), Bristol County Ground (Bristol) and Lord’s (London) and Kennington Oval (London).

Rules regarding rain in the tournament?

No reserve day has been kept for group stage matches. If any group stage match is interrupted due to rain or bad weather, then it will be necessary to have a match of at least 5-5 overs to get the result. If the match is cancelled, then both the teams will be given 1 point each.

Reserve day has been kept for semi-final and final matches. Apart from this, 120 minutes extra time has also been kept for knockout matches. In case the match is interrupted due to rain or bad weather, both the teams will have to play at least 10 overs each to get the result. If the match is cancelled, the team leading in the points table will be advanced to the group stage.
