US President Donald Trump, who never tired of criticizing Pakistan in his first term, is praising it a lot in his second term. After the peace talks held in Pakistan after nearly 7 weeks of conflict with Iran remained inconclusive, Trump has again made a big claim regarding the deal with Iran. He said that if an agreement is reached with Iran in Islamabad then he can go to Pakistan.
‘Can go to Pakistan’
US President Donald Trump said on Thursday (local time) that Pakistan likes him very much, his officials want him to go there. He said that if the peace agreement between America and Iran is finalized in Pakistan, then he can consider going to Islamabad. This statement of Trump indicates the possible role of Islamabad in the peace agreement with Iran.
What did Trump say?
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, ‘If the agreement is made in Islamabad, I can go. They (Pakistan) want me to go. The US President also praised Pakistan’s role in facilitating talks between America and Iran and described its participation as better. Praising Shehbaz Sharif-Munir, Trump said, ‘Field Marshal is very good, Shehbaz Sharif is also very good, so maybe I should go.’

‘An agreement can be reached with Iran soon’
Trump said that Pakistan’s contribution as a mediator in negotiating the agreement with Iran has been good. Apart from this, he also said that an agreement can be reached with Iran soon. He said, ‘I think we are having a very good conversation right now. If an agreement is reached then it will be announced soon. With this the Strait of Hormuz will be free, oil will be available, everything will be good. I think oil prices will become lower than before.
Efforts have intensified for the second round of peace talks between Iran and America. Meanwhile, Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir met Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in Tehran on Thursday (16). According to Al Jazeera report, this visit comes amid efforts for a possible agreement between the US and Iran.
