The war between America and Iran is about to reach a more terrible level. The US has blocked Iran’s access to the Strait of Hormuz. US Central Command said on Wednesday (July 15) that American marines have imposed a blockade against Iran in Hormuz. This simply means that now Iranian ships will not be able to cross Hormuz. In response, Iran can take the war to a more aggressive level.

US Central Command has shared a post on X. He told through this, ‘The US military has resumed the maritime blockade against ships passing through Iranian ports and coastal areas from 4 pm today. At present, more than 20 US Navy warships and hundreds of military aircraft are deployed in the Middle East.

Iran’s path was blocked in April also

America had imposed a blockade against Iran for the first time in April. After this, it was lifted a day after the ceasefire agreement in June. Under this agreement, there was a plan to reach a permanent agreement regarding Iran’s nuclear program within 60 days, but due to tension in Hormuz, the talks could not progress further.

US President Donald Trump announced the re-imposition of the blockade on Monday. Initially he had also talked about imposing 20 percent tariff on ships passing through Hormuz, but later withdrew this decision.

Hormuz is one of the world’s most important routes for trade. Before the war started, about 20 percent of the world’s crude oil and gas was traded through this route, but due to the US-Iran war, this route was badly affected. This is the reason why after the war started, oil and gas became expensive in many countries of the world.
