As soon as Virat Kohli took his first run in the third ODI being played against Australia in Sydney, the entire stadium echoed with noise. The fans started clapping, Kohli also celebrated lightly and started laughing. He came to the crease after the dismissal of Shubman Gill, who along with Rohit Sharma made a partnership of 69 runs for the first wicket.
The first ODI on the Australia tour was played in Perth, Kohli was playing an international match after 224 days. Fans had expectations from him but he was ‘ducked out’. Even though it was fine, the fans’ hearts were broken when he could not open his account even in the second ODI played in Adelaide. This happened for the first time in history when Virat Kohli was out for zero in 2 consecutive ODIs.

This was also his first run of this series, the first run which came after two ‘ducks’ made the fans happy, all the spectators sitting in Sydney applauded. Kohli also celebrated it in a light manner.
