New GST Registration Process 2025: The Central Government is going to launch a new and easier registration system for GST (Goods and Services Tax) from November 1, 2025. Under which those making new applications will get approval within just 3 working days. The GST Council has approved this under the GST reforms brought by the government.
This will make the registration process easier than before and there will be less human intervention. Under the new system, two types of applicants will be able to get registration automatically. Firstly, those people whom the system has selected based on data and risk analysis, and secondly, those whose tax payable (output tax) is less than Rs 2.5 lakh per month.
What does the Finance Minister say?
1. According to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, about 96 percent of new applicants will directly benefit from this new process. After inaugurating the new CGST building in Ghaziabad, the Finance Minister said that the government’s focus is now shifting from policy making to proper implementation of policies at the local level.
Also, the Finance Minister has requested the state and central GST units to work in accordance with the new policies and implement the new rules without getting into any confusion. He also said that the administration should have a sense of respect for the taxpayer. Strict steps should be taken against tax evasion.
2. Along with this, the Finance Minister said that the process of filing income tax returns has also been simplified. For this, automatic refund and risk-based audit system has been introduced. He also stressed on having adequate number of employees in GST Seva Kendras across the country. So that common citizens can easily solve their GST related problems. He also said that every GST center should have a helpdesk to help the taxpayers.
