CCTV video before Kurnool bus accident goes viral, bike rider claims to be drunk


A CCTV video has surfaced before the tragic bus accident that took place in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. It is being said that this is the same bike rider who hit the bus, after which the bus caught fire and 20 people died. Bike rider Shivshankar also died in the accident.

In the video (October 24 at 2:22 pm) two people are seen coming to the petrol pump on a bike. One of them pushes the bike forward and then speeds away. He loses balance for a few moments, but then takes control of the bike. In this video being shared on social media, it has been claimed that the bike rider was drunk. Many people say that this is clearly visible from his gait and actions.

Police did not confirm the video
Police have said that the authenticity of this CCTV footage has not been confirmed yet. However, the time shown in the video is 2:22 pm, which matches with the time of the accident reported by the police to be between 2:30 and 3:00 am.

Collision between bike and bus became the cause of the accident
This accident happened in the early hours of Friday on the outskirts of Kurnool. A private bus going to Bengaluru hit a bike moving on the road from behind. According to reports, the fuel tank of the bike was open, and petrol spilled upon impact. Due to that the bus caught fire. The fire spread so fast that 20 people were burnt to death, while many were injured. The bike rider also died on the spot.

Case registered against two bus drivers
After the accident, the police have registered a case against two drivers of the bus for negligence and rash driving. This complaint was made by N., a surviving passenger of the accident. Ramesh registered. The case has been registered at Ulindakonda police station.

Difference in statements of drivers
The other driver, Shiv Narayan, initially said that the bus hit the bike due to heavy rain and low light, but later he changed his statement. Now he says that the bike and its rider had already fallen on the road, and the first driver Lakshmaiah unknowingly ran the bus over them, causing a huge explosion and fire.
