Saharanpur: Accident due to boiler explosion in tire factory, 2 workers died on the spot, 5 burnt


The accident took place on Sunday (26 October) evening in Sheikhpura industrial area in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Here, a boiler in a tire factory exploded with a massive explosion, killing two workers on the spot, while five workers sustained burn injuries.

According to the police, seven workers were injured in this accident, of which five were rescued but two died. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot.

The fire was brought under control after much effort

Regarding the incident, the police said that on Sunday, two laborers died while five others were injured in a fire caused by a boiler explosion in a factory in Shekhpura industrial area. According to the police, the fire department reached the spot and after much effort brought the fire under control.

2 laborers died

Superintendent of Police Vyom Bindal said that the cause of the fire is being investigated. Oil is extracted from tires in this factory. He said that on Sunday evening, a boiler exploded in the factory and the subsequent fire resulted in the death of two workers while five others sustained burn injuries.

Flames were visible far away

The sound of explosion in the boiler spread panic in the entire area. Flames started rising and smoke started rising towards the sky. SP Bindal said that technical evidence suggests that the explosion was caused by excessive pressure in the boiler.
