Shaan was written by Salim-Javed. This film was released in theaters on 12 December 1980. When this film was ready, its budget was 6 crores which was double that of Sholay. This was the most expensive Indian film of that time. This film could not live up to people’s expectations. This film had collected Rs 4.50 crore at the box office.
