Chasing the target of 124 runs against Kuwait in this tournament of 6 overs per team, Abbas scored 55 runs in 12 balls on the field. After giving 123 runs against Kuwait, Pakistan was able to reach the target only on the last ball of the match.
Before this match, 24-year-old Abbas had played a match against Bangladesh in July 2024 and since then he did not get a chance. He made his debut in the national team against New Zealand in January the same year. His innings of 55 runs in 12 balls will definitely attract the attention of the selectors now.
