India’s popular sub-compact SUV Hyundai Venue has now been launched with its new generation update. The company has kept the starting price of 2025 Venue at Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom), which will remain valid till 31 December 2025. This time Hyundai has released the prices of only the 1.2-litre petrol engine HX2, HX4 and HX5 variants, while the prices of the diesel and Venue N Line versions will be announced soon.

  • The new Hyundai Venue will now compete directly with five popular SUVs in the Indian market – Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Syros and Skoda Kylaq. Let us know, which of these SUVs can become the biggest challenge for Venue.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

  • Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been India’s best-selling compact SUV for a long time. Its specialty is better mileage, less maintenance and smooth driving experience. Brezza has features like 6 airbags, ESP, 360° camera, cruise control, wireless charging, and 9-inch touchscreen. Available in both petrol and CNG engine options, Brezza starts at Rs 8.25 lakh. Due to its trustworthy brand and strong service network, it can give a tough competition to Venue.

Skoda Kylaq

  • Skoda’s new SUV Kylaq looks ahead of the Venue due to its modern design and premium interior. Starting at Rs 7.54 lakh, this SUV comes with features like 17-inch alloy wheels, large 10.1-inch touchscreen, ventilated seats and wireless connectivity. Its modern-solid design and European finish puts it above the Venue in terms of style and quality.

Kia Syros

  • Kia’s new SUV Syros has been positioned between Sonet and Seltos. Its design is attractive to the youth and it is very advanced in terms of features. Starting at Rs 8.67 lakh, Syros has features like 30-inch dual screen, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof and 360° camera. The premium quality of its interiors and hi-tech systems will prove to be a big challenge for the Venue.

Tata Nexon

  • Tata Nexon is one of the safest SUVs in India, having received a 5-star safety rating. Its new model comes with 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines, with manual, AMT and DCT gearbox options. Starting at Rs 7.32 lakh, Nexon has features like 360° camera, digital display and wireless connectivity. Its strong body and strong performance is a tough challenge for Venue.

Mahindra XUV 3XO

  • Mahindra has given a new name and upgrade to the XUV300 and introduced it as XUV 3XO. This SUV has now become more advanced and technically better than before. Starting at Rs 7.28 lakh, the XUV 3XO comes with features like two 10.25-inch displays, level-2 ADAS, 6 airbags and 360° camera. With smart technology and strong safety package, it gives tough competition to Venue feature-wise. The competition between these five SUVs against the new Hyundai Venue will be very interesting. While the Brezza is a reliable option, the Nexon and XUV 3XO are ahead in safety and performance. Syros and Kylaq are ready to increase the difficulty of Venue with their premium features.
