“The ICC Board is keen to build on the success of this event, and has agreed to expand the next edition of the tournament to 10 teams,” the ICC said in a press release. Let us tell you that the number of teams in 2025 was 8.
The statement further said, “Approximately 3 lakh people watched the event from the stadium, the highest in any women’s cricket tournament. Along with the increase in viewership, the on-screen audience also set new records.”
