England’s bad start in the chase
England, who set out to chase the target of 234 runs, had a very poor start. The team lost the first wicket in the form of Ben Duckett (00) on the first ball of the innings and the second in the form of Jacob Bethel (04) for 8 runs. After this, the third wicket fell at 53 runs, the fourth wicket at 94 runs and the fifth wicket at 125 runs. After this it seemed that now victory would be very difficult for England.
Then Joe Root along with Will Jacques made a partnership of 72 runs for the sixth wicket and raised new hopes of victory. England lost the sixth wicket in the form of Jacques for 197 runs. Jacques played an innings of 30 runs in 44 balls with 2 fours. After this, Root along with Gus Atkinson made an unbroken partnership of 38 runs for the 7th wicket and helped the team cross the victory line.

Fast bowler Gurnoor Brar took maximum 2 wickets for Team India. During this, he spent 67 runs in 10 overs. Apart from this, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, Akshar Patel and Shivam Dubey took 1 wicket each.
