Shehnaaz broke her silence in the podcast
Shehnaaz Gill herself reacted to this rumor and told the truth in a very funny way. She had appeared on YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, where she was asked questions regarding this rumour. Shehnaaz said smilingly, “He might be my brother, because both of our surnames are Gill and we are from Amritsar side. When he trends, my name also starts trending along with him. Actually, there is some connection, it must be brother and sister.”
He further said, “I asked myself if we have any relation, then the answer from my heart was that we are from the same side. It’s good, he is playing very well, he is very cute.”
Ganguly praised Shubman
Meanwhile, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has praised Shubhman Gill. Describing Gill as the “perfect captain”, he said that the young batsman captained brilliantly on the England tour and will do wonders for India in future too. Ganguly said, “Shubman Gill is an excellent batsman and a perfect captain. He captained Team India brilliantly in England. It is not easy to lead a team on foreign soil at such a young age, but Gill did it very well. He is a player who plays in every format and has tremendous talent. I have full confidence that he will take Indian cricket to greater heights in the future.”
The former captain wished Gill all the best before the Test series between India and South Africa. He expressed hope that this young captain will lead the team to a great victory.
Captain Gill broke Gavaskar’s record
Let us tell you that Shubman Gill had recently achieved a 2-2 draw as captain in the Test series against England. He scored 754 runs in this series, which included 4 centuries. This is the most runs scored by any Indian captain in a Test series, due to which he also broke the old record of Sunil Gavaskar.
